Elfbar are back with the ELF BAR 600 V2. With so many flavours in the range, we've had to break these down so here is part 1

I must admit I have been dragging my heels a bit over reviewing these, the guilt trip I get over disposables is impossible to avoid, although personally I upcycle the batteries and even use the tubes for miniatures painting handles. I will refrain from preaching about the obvious downsides to using disposable devices, we all know what they are by now, but there’s no escaping disposables are still extremely popular, Elf Bar have always been one of the best and these V2's are even better, the flavours are phenomenal.
TECC sent over the entire range for me to test which was very welcome but it is a lot to fit into one review so I will be splitting them up into two reviews for the flavours.

That’s quite a range! And there’s some all new flavours mixed in there, ‘Grape Raspberry’ for example. Who would put those two together? Elfbar would and did, the result is bloody lush!
Unboxing blah blah blah…
I should have a template for unboxing disposables as they are all pretty much the same: rip em open, pull the plugs, and vape.
I have to admit I did like the ELF BAR 600 V2’s packaging, it looks more grown up and not sweet-shop childish etc. The box is colour coordinated to the flavour and device colour.
The device is sealed in a foil tear-open bag for freshness and has an easy-tear notch, there’s a tiny leaflet with instructions and legal bumf.
You need to remove the silicone bung from the mouthpiece and remove the sticker from the base and it’s hot to trot, all in all it takes less than a minute to unpack and start vaping, or three seconds if you’re desperate.
The Elf Bar 600V2 looks nicer than the original with its fancy gradient metallic colouring, the colours try to represent the flavours the best they can, but with a range this large, it isn’t always possible, but I am impressed with the way they have made every single one different.
As for the ‘V2’ difference, from what I can gather the main difference is in the coil and wicking ‘QUAQ Coil Technology’ which is a mesh coil, but I couldn’t find out the ohms, I am guessing it is around 1.2ohms which is the average 600 puff coil size.
Time to crack open these bad boys and see if the V2 does make any difference, I will break down the flavours into bunches as follows:
Watermelon BG

Wow! Straight away the flavour really bangs through, it reminded me of a bubblegum I used to have as a sprog, two colour and individually twist wrapped but I cannot remember the bloody name, so I can only tell you it tastes like watermelon bubblegum and is nice and punchy.
Pink Grapefruit
"The Pink Grapefruit Elf Bar 600 V2 is a tasty pink grapefruit filled with citrusy punch. Vapers that like a little zest with their flavours will find plenty to enjoy with this one"
I’ve tried Pink Grapefruit before but it wan't as nice as this one, it really does have a proper citrus kick to it and gave a rare throat hit, not too sour and a very suitable ADV (All Day Vape). Unusually I found myself taking very long draws on this one for a stronger throat hit, I really could vape this day in, day out, and I hope this one is available in ELFLIQ e-liquids.
Pink Lemonade

I’ve learnt something! I’ve had Pink Lemonade plenty of times but never knew what made it ‘pink’, turns out it’s raspberries and strawberries. That aside, this is biassed on the pink side as the lemonade was more of an aftertaste, the result made this one of the best Pink Lemonades I’ve tried.
Cherry Cola

They just nailed this Cherry Cola, it tasted exactly like Cherry Coke brand. It has such a good balance and carried the aftertaste for ages, it was also another one that gave a decent throat hit with a longer draw.
Mojito
"The Mojito Elf Bar 600 V2 is a classic cocktail flavour, using tangy lime and then rounded out by notes of cool mint"
I’m not quite sure what I’m tasting here? Yes there’s lime and mint, but there seems to be other flavour tones mixed in, I think I could taste coconut and pineapple in there but I couldn’t be sure. I know I liked it, it kind of sits in the menthol area.
So that’s the first batch tested and something was becoming apparent, the V2’s new coil and wicking certainly delivered a stronger flavour punch. Better still for me; I was able to get a decent throat hit with longer draws which is quite rare with disposables. The downside to that is the ‘600 Puffs’ will be a lot less as you are using up more e-liquid per draw, perhaps as low as 300 puffs, but you still consume the 2ml. For me, I’m going with a longer draw and throat hit and the trade-off is worth it.
Onto the next batch….
Strawberry Kiwi

Well they are right with “This combination has become one of the most popular and best-selling flavours, and it's easy to see why.” It is one of my all-time favourite fruit combos and this one tasted perfect, I demolished it in no time. A perfectly balanced punchy flavour with a long aftertaste.
Kiwi Passionfruit Guava
"The Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava Elf Bar 600 V2 is a tropical collision of tangy kiwi, smooth passion fruit and ripe guava. If you are a fan of exotic tastes, this is the one for you"
Another firm favourite in the disposable world, but this is the best I’ve tasted! I’m going to steal their “tropical collision” description as the exotic fruits battle for dominance in your gob, the aftertaste was also lush and ‘love you long time’. A long draw from this gave quite an amazing throat hit too, but I was happy taking short puffs for pure flavour.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry
"The Blueberry Sour Raspberry Elf Bar 600 V2 is an iconic mix of sweet blueberry and sour raspberry. If you are a fan of slushy style flavours and have a sweet tooth, this would be worth trying out"
Yet another firm favourite, I’m slightly torn with this one though, going by the previous flavours I was expecting ‘more’ but it didn’t quite have the same punch as the rest somehow, don’t get me wrong, it is very good it’s just not great.
On the plus side I could get a good throat hit with a three second draw, and that’s how I demolished this one.
Mad Blue
"The Mad Blue Elf Bar 600 V2 combines tart blueberry and raspberry, with sweeter notes of mixed berries. This flavour is an ideal choice for those who enjoy all out fruit/berry tastes, and can be vaped all day long"
An interesting name with an equally interesting flavour, yes it’s mixed berries but that ‘tart’ is what made it more interesting, not quite a menthol but it had a similar aftertaste. I really liked it but it is a tricky one to describe. The closest I could say is a blue palma violet sweets if that makes sense?
Grape Raspberry

I was looking forward to this one, grape and raspberry? Who’d have thunk it? But damn does it work. It had the risk of being too sweet but again the ‘tart’ (she gets around) was the key to make these two very different fruits blending together perfectly. This could be my overall favourite.
Onto the final three….
Apple Watermelon

I tend to have a sniff before I vape and watermelon was clear, but when vaped the apple comes through equally. These two fruits blend well together and was one of the freshest tasting of the lot so far. The aftertaste was also refreshing and lasted.
Cherry
"The Cherry Elf Bar 600 V2 is a rich, sweet and hard-hitting cherry. It may not be as complex as other flavours, but this is a good choice for anyone that prefers simple fruits"
The above description sums this one up perfectly “sweet and hard-hitting cherry”, but thankfully not too overpowering as many cherry vapes can be. It sounds obvious but it tasted just like the cherry cola without the cola, I enjoyed it but it hardly stood out, one for cherry purists.
Banana Ice
"The Banana Ice Elf Bar 600 V2 combines a smooth creamy banana with cooling ice. Ideal for vapers that just want a simple fruit flavour with an icy kick"
Another old favourite, it tastes like a Maccy D banana milkshake to put it simply but more in the aftertaste, the inhale is pure banana. It is good but not as outstanding as the rest.
So that’s all for Part One, overall a success I would say and a worthy ‘V2’ as Elf Bar do appear to have upped their game with some new flavours and upgraded cotton/coil which delivers more of a strong flavour and a throat hit if you want it.
Another successful stock pick from the experts at TECC, they don’t stock any old crap and you can generally trust the products they choose to sell. The multi-buy or subscription makes them good value too.
But I’m surprised that ELF BAR are continuing down this track considering they also make a rechargeable version of the ELF BAR ELFA with replaceable pods also available from TECC https://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/elf-bar-elfa-pro-kit but they don’t have all these flavours.
I have an angel on my shoulder telling me not to vape disposables, but the devil on the other shoulder knows I will enjoy vaping them, I’m riddled with guilt but at least I can go back to my normal sustainable way of vaping. If you ‘must’ vape disposables, the ELF BAR 600 V2 are possibly the best out there.
