Well it’s been a very busy time for Dispergo Vaping as they have launched a plethora of new and exciting e-liquid ranges. It has certainly been keeping Si and myself very busy! But all good things come to an end, and we have finally made it to the last review of the new ranges, so buckle up as we dive in to the Pik’d line of shortfills.

Pik’d is a fruit based selection, something Dispergo Vaping are usually consistently good at. What gels these together as a range is that they are all a balance of sweet and sharp, always a good combination in an e-liquid. It is always more fun when there is a theme to the flavours in a range, so this started things off well.

Pik’d is a 70VG/30PG ratio, so this makes them more suitable for direct to lung/subohm vaping styles as well as giving things a natural sweet boost. They are 100ml with space for a couple of nic shots to take things up to 120ml at 3mg strength, standard for most larger shortfill bottles.

The Pik’d labels are evocative of the farm fresh feel of the flavours with lush trees and green fields along with crates containing the fruits of each recipe. It is a beautiful design which visually tells you what you need to know about the contents, always handy when you want to grab a bottle in a hurry!

Blackcurrant and Lime

Well I guess the names don’t really need any explanation; this is a range which keeps things simple where it can. But thankfully things are a bit more interesting in the flavour department. I really like blackcurrant flavours, they can be rich and intense which this one certainly is. But sometimes they can be a little too heavy. This is where the lime comes in, the zing of the citrus really breaks things up and adds a really nice refreshing twist which makes this very easy to vape.

Peach and Blood Orange

Now I have to admit that I am not so keen on peach flavours, normally they are just a bit too sweet with not much substance, but this one works. Once again, the mix of sweet and sharp makes things so much more interesting and blood orange is a great choice as it gives things a really fresh tang. It still wouldn’t be a flavour I personally would vape too much but I’m pretty confident that if you like peach e-liquids, this one will hit the spot.

Pineapple and Cranberry

We are back to a flavour that I absolutely vape a lot, pineapple is one of my favourites and this one definitely does it for me. Being naturally quite a tangy flavour, I wondered how the cranberry would interact, well it heightens the sharper notes of the pineapple without changing the base too much. They complement each other surprisingly well and this is a great twist on a more tropical flavour.

Raspberry and Pineapple

Mmmm more pineapple! But this time it isn’t in the starring role, it is just a very good cast member. The rising star is raspberry, quite a sweet one at that but still with enough balls to handle the pineapple and not let it take over. It takes some skill to tone down pineapple enough to work, normally it is more at home with other equally strong flavours, but somehow Dispergo Vaping have pulled it off.

Tropical Lime

This has a fairly generic name and I have to say the tropical side of this juice is also surprisingly generic too. It is very sweet, but it doesn’t really have anything distinct. I couldn’t really pick out any of the fruits and I am not sure I would even have pinpointed the tropical nature. It rather took me by surprise as this is not what I was expecting. The lime is the saving grace, the tart citrus blast is lush and juicy and makes the whole experience come alive.

Final Thoughts

Dispergo Vaping have become my one of my personal favourite e-liquid companies, they never fail to impress with their understanding of flavour and mastery of interesting combinations. The Pik’d range definitely carries all the signatures that I have come to expect. If you like fruit flavours with a bit of a twist, these should be on your “to try” list.
