Ohm Brew Double Brew Bar Series 10ml
Supplied by Ohm Brew for review
Following up from the Ohm Brew Refill Bar review, it’s time to review the special juice that makes it shine….
There are seventeen flavours available, but I was only sent eight to try so I will have to guess what the others are like!
- 10ml nic salts
- VG:PG 50:50
- 5mg, 10mg & 20mg options
- 17 Disposable favourites flavour range
- Refill Bar compatible
(A slight mistake in my photos, the Grape Ice is missing and I doubled the Raspberry Strawberry Cherry – my bad)
Here’s a list of the current flavour range:
- Pink Lemonade
- Pineapple Ice
- Raspberry Strawberry Cherry
- Blueberry Sour Raspberry
- Strawberry Watermelon Bubblegum
- Blue Slush Ice
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Grape Ice
- Strawberry Ice
- Blue Razz Lemonade
- Candy Cherry Ice
- Kiwi Passionfruit Guava
- Triple Mango
- Pink Lemonade
- Watermelon Ice
- Double Apple Ice
- Fizzy Cola Ice
That’s quite the selection and I recognise most from disposables, the only one I couldn’t see is Banana Ice but that’s a bit hit-n-miss in general, but with this huge range you are sure to find your favourites.
As mentioned above; Ohm Brew have come up with their own vape to complement their e-liquids, the REFILL BAR, which is refillable for *up to 15 refills* but I would say 10 refills before the flavour becomes too bad. Either way, it’s much better than 2ml disposables, less wasteful, cheaper, and better flavour in my experience.
Unfortunately Ohm Brew just sent the one Refill Bar so I wasn’t able to test all the e-liquids out in that, instead I used the excellent Uwell Caliburn GZ2 pod which delivered as good if not better flavour, this would be my tool of choice as I don’t like the waste from disposables.
But the main point of the Ohm Brew Refill Bar is to at least move disposable users onto a less wasteful and a more cost effective alternative.
Below are the flavours I got to try out, but it soon became evident that ALL of them were exactly as the description, they weren’t overly sweet and the aftertaste lasted ages:
Blueberry Sour Raspberry
The two fruits are well balanced, neither was dominant as you could pick out each one when you tried, but blended together they tasted even better. As for the sour element, I barely picked it out but there was a slight tang in the aftertaste which I think made it linger longer in your mouth, an easy ADV (All Day Vape).
Double Apple Ice
I love it when they get APPLE e-liquids right and this Double Apple really does feel like a double dose of sweet juicy apples, it is pretty strong yet not overpowering, it reminded me of a fruitella chew, it makes an equally good ADV or a treat.
Ah Pineapple, often a failed e-liquid that can taste chemically. Thankfully Ohm Brew refined this one perfectly, much better than their own previous version as it felt less intense and was much smoother. Possibly the best pineapple I have experienced, so much so that I would say it makes a great ADV which is a first for me.
Raspberry Strawberry Cherry
This one confused my taste buds, closest I can describe it is Strawcherry, as if a strawberry shagged a cherry and this is their offspring. I barely noticed the raspberry, but all in all this flavour was lush and intense. I especially liked the aftertaste, but I would say this could get too much as an ADV but is an ideal treat.
I am a big fan of this fruit blend in real fruits as well as in e-liquids, I don’t recall tasting a bad one. Ohm Brew have nailed the balance which feels equal as you can define each fruit clearly, but vaping them together gives such a pleasant taste. A clear ADV as it never tastes sickly or overpowering.
Strawberry Watermelon Bubblegum
Strawberry and watermelon are a tried and tested favourite, but the bubblegum element is genius. Somehow Ohm Brew have managed to tone down the sweetness enough that you can enjoy the mix of flavours, I’m sure I tasted a similar thing in a large round bubblegum as a kid but I'm damned if I can remember the name of it. Not quite an ADV for me though, but a good treat none the less.
Hmmm, so ‘Double Brew’ and ‘Triple Mango’, does that make 6 x mango? As you can imagine, this is mango on steroids as you get a very intense mango hit. I love mango and I did actually enjoy the gob battering this flavour gave me, but there’s no way I could vape this as an ADV. That said, it would kick ass as a mixer vape if you have two flavours on the go, a definite treat for mango lovers.
No photo for this one, but this one turned out to be my absolute favourite! I can’t quite pin down why but this is the best grape I have tasted bar none, it has that ‘double’ intensity of the rest of the range but is not too sweet, and the aftertaste lasts yonks. A very moreish flavour I could borderline ADV, but it makes another good mixer or treat.
All in all, I am VERY impressed with these eight flavours, I’m kinda sad they didn’t send the full range as I’m quite confident they will all be as good as the ones I tried. As much as I hate the blight of disposables, I am grateful that they have made e-liquids evolve into some incredible flavours, and now we can enjoy them in more sustainable vapes (replaceable coils/pods etc.).
I don’t give e-liquids a score as taste is subjective, but the Double Brew Bar Series range is as close to a 10/10 for my tastes. My previous favourites are now my old favourites, and these are my new favourites. My favourites before that are no longer my favourites, and have fallenout of favour.
