This is a new range of e-liquids by TRU juice. The flavours have an emphasis on quality, and are unique to TRU juice. Great pride is taken in the development of these unique, complex flavour profiles, and only the finest ingredients make it to the production line. The flavour profiles have a layered approach so that different elements of the flavour will come forward during the inhale and exhale to give a genuinely authentic taste.

I was sent this range by Jack Rabbit Vapes for review purpose. A few of the flavours are nothing new, but the recipes are a new blend and, as I was to find out, this range ‘TRU’ely is something special and premium tasting.

The ones I received weren’t boxed. The bottles are dark and themed. The fill nozzle was pretty easy to pop off as there is a small notch for you to pry it open and add your nic-shot. I added 10ml PG based nic shot to make it 60ml of juice total, though adding PG nicotine will make the juice closer to 65%VG 35%PG, but adding 10ml of VG based nicotine will achieve the stated 70%/30%. The only downside so far is that it’s difficult to see your juice remaining due to the dark bottle.

Mango Peach Papaya

Some of the juices are easy to describe as the name says it all but others, like this, are harder to define. I couldn’t actually pick out any of the individual flavours as such, but blended together they make for a delicious, exotic, fruity flavour, I don’t know about “perfect for summer” as I proper enjoyed this in February!

The inhale and exhale were too similar to distinguish, but the aftertaste left a really refreshing, fruity taste. This was the first juice I had tried and already I could tell I was in for a treat with the others if this one was anything to go by.

Bakewell Tart

Bakewell Tart has been one of my nemesis flavours, I have tried many brands, tried a DIY recipe and I actually gave up trying. Most overdo the cherry which is notoriously difficult to get right, so did TRU get this right?

Happily (very happily), yes! More so at higher wattage where the pastry really comes through on the exhale, on the inhale all the flavours came through in a perfect bakewell balance. Usually I try around 20ml before moving onto the next flavour when reviewing, but this one was soon demolished as I couldn’t put it down – nemesis defeated!

Score: 9/10 – At last, a proper Cherry Bakewell flavour!

Blackcurrant Raspberry Lime

This mixture mystified me, there’s no way I would have mixed these flavours together (also I’m not a big Blackcurrant fan), but obviously TRU knew better! The end result is another one that’s tricky to describe but simply works. The only flavour I could clearly detect was the lime, but it was subtle. The inhale and exhale were similar, but more lime came through on the exhale, leaving a really nice, fruity flavour in your mouth.

If you blindfolded me and asked me to tell you the flavour, I wouldn’t have a clue. All I know is that it is delicious and an ADV (All Day Vape).

Score: 8.5/10 – What is it? Who cares its delicious!

Rhubarb Custard

I’m in familiar territory with this one. I have been vaping rhubarb and custard on and off since I started vaping, some good and some bad. This comes in the good category and is one of those that have the recipe balance perfected (too many are overpowered by rhubarb). As much as I enjoyed this flavour, I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s anything special. The inhale and exhale were about the same. If you enjoy rhubarb and custard, you will definitely like this one.

Score: 7/10 – It’s a good Rhubarb & Custard but nothing special

Strawberry Custard

I’m not sure if it is my palette, but strawberry is one of those flavours I have struggled to enjoy. More often than not, the strawberry is too muted or chemically tasting. In credit to TRU JUICE, they have nailed it.

The dominant flavour is the custard, and the strawberry tones come through more on the exhale. The aftertaste is the best part, and you get a real juicy strawberry taste left in your mouth for minutes after. I a very impressed with this flavour, and am very happy to have found a Strawberry blend that actually tastes like real strawberry. It is almost my favourite of the bunch, and has been my ADV until I ran out.

Score: 9/10 - It’s Strawberry Custard that tastes exactly like Strawberry Custard!

Vimto

Jack Rabbit Vapes: Tru Juice Range Vimto

Here’s a tricky one to describe to someone who hasn’t tried vimto, in fact I’m stumped so I will leave it down to the ‘flavour profile’. All I can say is that it’s a punchy, fruit blend with refreshing grape tones and is quite sweet. For anyone who has tried vimto, then it’s a different story. This juice really does taste just like the drink!

This more reminded me of vimto squash than the fizzy drink as the cool effect was hardly noticeable. Instead, you are left with a rich blend of fruits in the aftertaste. I noticed more flavour on the exhale. 50ml didn’t last me long with this one as I couldn’t put it down and I would definitely class this one as an all day vape (ADV).

Score: 9/10 – The best Vimto juice I have tried

Overall Conclusion

I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all of these juices. At first impression, I was underwhelmed by the descriptions on the labels as I thought they were unoriginal but this is a case of not judging a book by its cover. Yes, they are ‘basic’ flavours that have been replicated for years (including DIY), but Tru Juice have really nailed all of these flavours to perfection.

It’s clear a lot of effort has gone into perfecting these flavours, and they are probably the most impressive and accurate recipes I have tested. None had any strange aftertaste, and all were delicious. Four out of the six are amongst my all-time favourites which I will certainly be buying again.

These are ‘TRU’ly premium eliquids and worth every penny. If you like the sound of the flavour profiles, then you can hardly go wrong buying from the Tru Juice range.
