Design and Build Quality

The Cascade is by no means a small tank, especially the 7ml capacity version, which has a 25mm width and a 60.5mm height excluding the drip tip and 510 connector. It feels quite weighty in hand, weighing in at 81g. Silver, Blue, Black and Rainbow finishes are available, with two limited edition Black and Red versions also released. You can fully disassemble the Vaporesso Cascade, which is great for cleaning and maintenance.

Vaporesso have released 2ml and 7ml capacity versions of the Cascade, which has a glass tank section. A slide and fill system is used for the top fill mechanism, you push on the ‘lock’ symbol and the top cap will rotate away to reveal the filling port, which is a pretty cool feature!

An isolation structure design has been used to separate the coil and juice, and it has been designed to offer protection against dry hits and allow for consistent and intense flavour. The e-liquid is present in the reservoir at the top of the tank, and it flows downwards to the coil.

Coil swapping is easy with the EUC style coil replacement system. You unscrew the top tank section from the base, and simply pull the old coil out by the base and slide the new one in. An adaptor is included in the box, allowing you to use other Vaporesso GT coils simply by inserting them into the GT adaptor!

Airflow

At the base of the Vaporesso Cascade there are three large adjustable airflow slots, and a smooth airflow control. There’s a lot of airflow present on the Cascade, and this can be closed right down too, making the Cascade suitable for a wide range of different wattages.

Performance

You get two GT series coil heads included with the Vaporesso Cascade, pre-installed in the Cascade is the GTM-8 0.15ohm coil head which is rated for use at 80-200W.

The GTM-8 provides a very warm vape, and is aimed for vapers that like a very high wattage vape! I found that I got the best results from this coil head at 120W, however even pushing it to 200W didn’t trouble it. This coil head definitely excels at vapour production!

Also included is the GTM-2 0.4ohm coil head, which is rated for use at 40-80W. This was actually my preferred coil head to use, as I felt it offered better flavour than the GTM-8 coil, and I got plenty of vapour from it to suit my vaping style.

I received the 7ml capacity version for review, which lasts me most of the day even at high wattage. Wicking wise, I had no troubles with even 80VG e-liquid, and I didn’t experience any dry hits when using the Cascade.

Conclusion

The looks of the Cascade may not be to everyone’s tastes however what you have here is a very well made and versatile tank, that also offers very good performance too.

I particularly like the fact that Vaporesso have included the ability to use a wide range of different GT coil heads, making the Cascade an appealing option to a wide user base!

Many thanks to Vaporesso for sending the Cascade in for review! They have also sent us one to give away too - to be in with a chance of winning check out the competition page here!
