What’s in the box?

Design and Build Quality

Manufactured from stainless steel with a pyrex glass tank section, the Joyetech Cubis Pro Mini is a tiny little low profile tank measuring in with a 22mm width and a 47mm height. This atty is so small that many RDA's I own actually dwarf it if I remove the drip tip from the Cubis Pro Mini! Although small, it feels pretty robust, and it's well manufactured too with smooth threading and no sharp edges present.

Capacity of the Cubis Pro Mini is a TPD friendly 2ml, and this is top filled via unscrewing the top cap to uncover the two filling ports. Unscrewing the top cap also allows you to change the coil head, even with E-Liquid present in the tank, as it screws into the threading at the base of the top cap. A large Pyrex viewing window at the side of the tank shows you how much E-Liquid is left in the tank- do be careful not to break this as no spare is included in the box!

Ten different colour finishes are available for the Cubis Pro Mini, with blue wrinkle, red wrinkle, orange wrinkle, black wrinkle, silver, black, red, orange, blue and white all available. The Cubis Pro Mini can be fully disassembled to clean- just don't clean the atomiser heads themselves!

Airflow

The Cubis Pro Mini has a top airflow system in place, in order to maximise flavour and eliminate leakage. Five adjustable airflow slots are present on each side at the top of the tank, with a buttery smooth airflow control ring allowing you to close down or open the airflow up as you see fit.

Performance

Bundled with the Joyetech Cubis Pro Mini tank are two different coil heads- the LVC Clapton 1.5ohm coil head for mouth to lung vaping, and the 0.5ohm BF SS316 coil head for direct to lung vaping. I like the fact that Joyetech have bundled both a mouth to lung and a direct to lung coil head in the box, so users can get a taste of both styles, and the coil heads are easy to install as well. It is advisable to prime the coil heads before use, by dripping some E-Liquid directly into the coil head itself, to prolong the lifespan of them. It is also worth leaving the tank for 10 minutes after filling with a fresh coil head.

I first used the BF 0.5ohm SS316 coil head, which is recommended for use in the 15-30W range. I started off at 15W, which offered me a pretty weak vape, until I got up to 30W which was my preferred wattage setting. At 30W, I get a fairly warm vape, which gives me decent flavour and cloud production. This coil head can be quite thirsty however, and I found that I needed to refill the tank at least three times throughout the day.

Next up was the BF LVC Clapton 1.5ohm coil head, which has a recommended wattage range of 8-20W. I much preferred the tighter, more intense experience from this coil head at 16-18W. The flavour was very good indeed, and I get a very good nicotine hit with 20mg nicotine salt based E-Liquids! This coil head was more economical on my E-Liquids too, requiring only one refill a day on average.

A range of different Joyetech coil heads are compatible with the Cubis Pro Mini, to suit different vaping styles. At the time of writing the QCS coil, 0.25ohm Notch Coil, BF SS316 coil series, BF Clapton 1.5ohm, BF Ni and BF RBA heads are also compatible alongside the two coil heads included in the box.

Conclusion

For those that prefer their stock coil tanks to have more of a restricted vape, the Joyetech Cubis Pro Mini is a very good option to consider. It won’t cloud a room out by any means, however it isn’t designed for that, but it does provide a nice and relaxed, flavourful vape!
