Eleaf Glass Pen Kit

Thank you to Sourcemore for sending this in for review. To be clear, this is my personal opinion and is not in any way linked to POTV or any other source.

I wanted to review this as I really enjoyed using the Eleaf Ego Pod kit which I reviewed back in September 2020. Also the Glass Pod is a little different, and I have never used a glass tank before!

Ok so what is it and what did I think of this little kit?

In the box

  • Eleaf Glass Pen battery
  • Eleaf Glass Pen pod
  • 2 x GTL coils
  • USB-C cable (decent length)
  • User manual
  • Warranty card

The Eleaf Glass Pen Kit arrived quickly and was well packaged with everything you need. I like how they include a decent length charge cable instead if those tiny ones that are just pointless!

The glass pod is completely clear which is great. It is made from pyrex glass and stainless steel. It has a white silicone fill bung on one side of the pod which has an average size hole for this type of pod
I primed the GTL coil with Prime Vapes Dark Fruits MTL 50/50 salt juice. It’s a push in coil which slots in easily to the base of the pod. After filling it, I left it to sit for about ten mins or so. It connects nicely into the device with some magnets.
The device itself is made from aluminium alloy and has a good quality feel to it. In the centre is the power button which is slightly clicky with a little LED light within it. Five clicks turns it on and off, and the light indicates battery level and illuminates when drawing. It has two small air holes on opposites sides which align with the base of the coil. The usb-C port is on the side which I prefer to having one on the base.
Attached with a chain is a matching top cap which is handy as it protects the glass mouthpiece and stops any fluff etc... from getting in, but the chain link is annoying and takes a bit of getting used to. I understand why they have done it as not connecting it would most likely end with losing the top cap.

The flavour is ok, pretty average, and the draw I would describe as medium. If 1 was super tight and 10 very loose I would put this at a 4. There are two air holes you can cover to get a tighter draw.
This is a super easy kit to use, the mouthpiece is comfortable and is the perfect size for mtl. The device is light and pocket friendly.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Pass through charging
  • Mouthpiece
  • Light weight but good quality
  • USB-C
  • Dual mode: Power button and auto draw
  • Protection cap

Niggles

  • No e-liquid window
  • Ok battery, would have preferred 800+
  • 1.8ml liquid capacity
  • Coil flavour is average
  • Cap chain

Summary

The Glass Pen is the perfect device for mouth to lung vapers looking for an easy pen-style device. With no need to adjust wattage, as well as the dual activation options, the Glass Pen is a great starter kit for new vapers or someone wanting an easy mtl kit, like me!

Deedee’s score 7/10. I prefer The Ego Pod as it has a liquid window, 1000mAh battery and better flavour

In August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs. Enjoy mingling with the members, helping others and having a good laugh!
