IVG True Salts
Here’s a small selection from IVG’s TRUE SALTS range:
The pricing of £3.49 each or 4 for £10 is pretty competitive and makes it worth trying out different flavours from the pretty large selection of 16. They come in either 10mg or maximum strength 20mg.
Nicotine Salts (also known as nic salts or salts) is a blend of 50% VG (Vegetable Glycerine) & 50% PG (Propylene Glycol) with the addition of Nicotine Salt. This e-liquid is similar to 50/50 but gives a smoother taste and targets cravings quicker than traditional 50:50 juice which makes this perfect for people who are looking to quit smoking.
My weapon of choice to test these juices is the Lost Vape Quest URSA Mini as it gives a consistently great flavour, naturally I swapped the coil for a fresh one on each juice.
"Banana Ice - Ripe bananas with a cool twist – the sweet, almost caramel taste of ripe bananas blends with subtle notes of menthol to create a refreshing and indulgent flavour with an ice-cool finish."
Banana seems to be coming back into fashion with nic salts, and it has become a staple favourite in most disposables. IVG appear to have nailed this one as the ‘ice’ helps tone down the usually overpowering sweet banana flavour. The closest I can describe is it is similar to a Maccy D’s milkshake. I would put it somewhere in between dessert and fruit. I am a banana scoffer in real life so naturally I really enjoyed this one.
"Berry Blast - A bombastic blend of berries – sweet strawberries, tangy raspberries and rich blackberries combine to create a sweet but balanced flavour that stays fruity fresh all-day long."
IVG made my reviewing harder as their description is bang on, my description would be too samey but what I can tell you is that this blend really packs a fruity punch (oooh a fruity punch – that’ll do!). The end result is lush. It is quite sweet though, but not too sweet for my tastes.
Iced Blue Raspberry
"Iced Blue Raspberry - As sweet as your favourite slushy – Packed full of tangy raspberry and sweet blueberry, topped off with menthol for a surprisingly cool finish and a refreshing experience."
Oh bugger, they did it again, I was going to say ‘Slushy’! This one is exactly as it says on the box. I usually avoid menthol like the Covid, but it is subtle and the coolness adds to make this taste pretty refreshing. I surprised myself by polishing off the whole bottle despite it having ‘menthol’ in the flavour. It definitely worth a punt if you like Slushys.
"Pink Menthol - Nice and cool, lovely and sweet – A perfectly balanced blend of refreshing menthol and red fruits, our Pink Menthol flavour has sweet berry flavours which end on a cool exhale tinged with hints of berry tartness."
As previously mentioned, I don’t like menthol but I did try this one. Sadly I really couldn’t get on with it as the menthol was a bit stronger on this one so it hit me on the inhale and exhale. That’s the luck of the draw with random samples but going by the previous accurate description, I expect menthol fans would enjoy this one.
"Rainbow Drops - A whole spectrum of sweet, fruity flavour – This flavour will take you on a trip down memory lane with the delicious taste of red, orange, green, blue, indigo and violet candied fruit you know and love."
Rainbow Drops is a hard flavour to describe, for me this was closer to scoffing a gob full of fruit pastels. The aftertaste was almost as good as the inhale. I think this was my favourite out of the bunch and I soon demolished the 10ml leaving me wanting more.
Overall it’s a thumbs up for these juices, though I didn’t enjoy the Pink Menthol as it was down to personal tastes rather that the juice itself, I would be more than happy to buy the other flavours that appeal to me as I trust they will be on par with the ones I did enjoy.
