The Refuge Dripper Series E-Liquid
We are a small family oriented business. Our goal is to be able to work together as a family to help others throw away those analogs (STINKIES) and to provide them with an alternative to smoking. We want to provide a good quality tasting juice that can be enjoyed by all Vapers. The Refuge are an American E-Liquid manufacturer and at present there are six juices in their Dripper Series Range which was sent to us for review. The juice is mixed to 80VG/20PG and is intended for use in RDA’s. The juice comes in 30ml stick bottles with child proof caps and all warning information is clearly marked. In addition all of the juice has ingredients and batch number displayed.
We use only Certified Kosher USP (United States Pharmacopeia) Grade Propylene Glycol and/or Certified Kosher USP Vegetable Glycerin with Professional food grade flavourings and the best premium Certified USP pharmaceutical grade nicotine extracted in the United States. In our E-Liquid we use only the best ingredients sourced both domestically and locally and all liquid is made in the USA.
I found the labels to be very well done and eye-catching and I really do like the stick bottle design because it makes it easy to carry them around if you are going out. This range of E-Liquid is available in several nicotine strengths: 6mg, 4.5mg, 3mg 0mg. All of this juice was vaped in my Achilles II RDA which currently has a 1.2ohm Kanthal build in it that is wicked with Japanese Cotton. My device of choice was the iPV3-Li.

Remember your Grandma's Apple Pie? A Thick and Ooey Gooey cinnamon filling piled high into a Flaky homemade pie crust. That's what I'm talking about, it’s "2 DIE 4".
This juice is a light American style apple pie with a sprinkling of cinnamon. For some strange reason if you ignore the cinnamon it tastes pretty much exactly like a Mr Kipling apple pie but maybe that’s just me. You can certainly pick out pasty flavour notes and both the cinnamon and apple are really tasty. Personally I would prefer the apple to be a little stronger than it is but if you love apple pie then you will really get on with this!
Vapour production was excellent, no surprise considering the mix ratio. I found the throat hit to be mild.
Apollo
Apollo by Refuge is a throwback to your favourite childhood popsicle! The Bomb Pop. Who says you have to be a kid to enjoy them?
Remember those rocket ice lollies? That is pretty much what this juice reminds me of. I am sure I can pick out strawberry or raspberry and vanilla but the flavours are rather mild and don’t especially stand out. Nevertheless it has a pleasant overall taste and makes for an enjoyable vape!
You also get a slightly sugary quality on the exhale which lingers on your lips and does in fact remind me of an ice lolly but in my opinion it could do with some cooling ingredient which would make it better.
Once again vapour production was excellent. Throat hit was mild.

Charlie G by Refuge is a warm home-made Apple Cinnamon Fritter with a light sugary icing.
The main flavour of this juice is apple fritter and believe me it certainly does have that fritter quality to it because it makes the apple taste rather unusual. The cinnamon is mainly a background note but it is certainly noticeable and the whole mix is complimented with a sweet icing flavour. The flavours do seem to vary somewhat in this juice and sometimes the apple is the dominant flavour and at other times it is the cinnamon and icing.
Vapour production was excellent but very typical of the mix ratio used. Throat hit with this juice was mild to medium.
Custard Fusion
Custard Fusion by Refuge is a creamy vanilla custard fused together with just the right amount of butterscotch.
The main flavours in this juice are custard and butterscotch which makes for a highly delicious and creamy vape. The custard tastes like a typical home made variety and is not overly sweet. The butterscotch compliments the mix beautifully and I could happily vape this all day long!
This juice is ideally meant to be used in a dripper and I noticed the butterscotch dominates a little but since I happen to love butterscotch I can’t say I minded. I did experiment and try this juice in a Sub Ohm tank which led to both ingredients being extremely well balanced. Vapour production was excellent and I found the throat hit to be mild.
Lush
Lush is a sweet and creamy Banana Vape, layered on a bed of Graham Crackers and Drizzled with Caramel Goodness! If you love Bananas then this flavour is one for you!!
As you might know banana vapes are always something of a lottery for me as to whether I like them or not but thankfully I got on with this one. The caramel is really nice and helps to balance out the slightly strong banana and the Graham Cracker taste is pleasant even if it mainly works as a background note. I am not 100% keen on the banana because it is a little strong and while it doesn’t have that foam sweet quality to it I find it just a little bit too overpowering but thankfully this is quite well disguised by the very well done caramel.
Bear in mind I am not a massive fan of banana E-Liquids which tends to make me very picky about them so if you happen to enjoy banana vapes then you’ll probably love this!
Vapour production was excellent and I found the throat hit to be medium.
Porn Star
Sweet Strawberries dancing around in a cloud of Sweet Creamy AWESOMENESS! CAUTION! Vaping this could make your clothes fall off! Ha! Ha!
Not a lot to say about this juice other than the fact that it is a very good strawberries and cream vape. The cream is excellent and the strawberry has a nice amount of sharpness to it that is noticeable on the exhale.
Vapour production is superb so you will certainly put out plenty of clouds with this juice. Throat hit was mild. I should also point out that despite the name you certainly won’t get any seedy cheap thrills with this juice!
Conclusion
This is a very enjoyable range of high VG juice that will give you excellent cloud production. My personal favourite was the Custard Fusion and I could certainly vape that one a lot! All of the juices are mixed well so you should definitely enjoy whichever one you choose.
