REMentry RDA by REM Creations
I'm pushing an elephant up the stairs
I'm tossing up punch lines that were never there
Sorry to mislead you music fans because it’s not that R.E.M but new from REM Creations is the REMentry RDA. This RDA is of a nice compact size with a standard three post design that supports single and dual coil builds. In addition this RDA features a Delrin insulated base and a Delrin chuff cap/airflow controller to ensure the heat stays away from you mouth no matter your wattage. The REMentry is American designed and manufactured but unlike a lot of products that come from the States this RDA is very reasonably priced.
Promising great flavour and excellent cloud production the REMentry is available in a variety of finishes to suit your mods. The question I am sure you are asking is “Is it any good?” So read on and we shall see!

REMentry styling and build quality
This RDA is a nice discrete size but not as small as say a Derringer, Rogue or Mini Freakshow. What is most striking about is the weight because it is extremely light due to the Delrin components. In addition it has a smart looking design that should offer great appeal!
It is available in a variety of colours that have a high gloss finish but we received the stainless steel version for review. Nevertheless this is still a very sleek looking design and features a white (coloured depending on the version you buy) Delrin insulated base and Chuff cap. The Chuff cap is suitably wide bore and also serves as the RDA’s top cap and airflow controller. The negative of this design is that you can’t use your own drip tips and there is no 510 drip tip adapter either.
The main barrel of the RDA is hold onto the base by a single O-ring whereas the top/Chuff cap is held on by double O-rings. When you first get this RDA you will find it very stiff to take apart so I advise you to moisten the O-rings with juice. Vaseline also works extremely well and so does lip balm and it will certainly make the Chuff cap airflow controller easier to adjust.
This RDA has a standard three post design that features Philips head grub screws. The post holes are very large so you will be able to put a dual Clapton coil build in there if you want. The posts are also square to prevent spinning and the positive post features a PEEK insulator.
While the RDA does support a single coil build due to the design of the airflow controller top there is still a slight gap visible at both sides of the blocked off airflow slot when running this in single coil mode. In my opinion this gap shouldn’t be there but even so it shouldn’t affect single use coil too much.
The REMentry has a fixed copper 510 pin but before you get too worried it is suitably long so should work well with mechanical mod hybrid adapters.
The REMentry is available in red, blue, black, white and stainless steel finishes and the Delrin parts are coloured accordingly. The only exception is the stainless steel version which as mentioned already has white Delrin.
This RDA features dual Cyclops slots that are 5mm x 2mm in size. The airflow can be fully opened up or closed down by turning the Chuff cap. Like I said earlier there is a slight gap in the airflow slot when running in single coil configuration. When you factor in the wide bore Chuff cap this RDA has a great deal of airflow that should suit most cloud chasing fans nicely!
How does the REMentry vape?
Firstly I tried a single coil build in this RDA using 26AWG (0.4mm) Kanthal. My final resistance was 0.8ohm and I wicked the coil with Japanese cotton. I filled the dripper with Naked Fish Barracuda.
First impressions when vaping this RDA is that it is extremely airy but flavour is still very pleasant. There is definitely some spit back when using a 3mm internal diameter coil but it certainly isn’t as bad as some other drippers. Vapour production is excellent and this RDA really does produce very dense and large clouds even when using a single coil.
Keeping in mind that high VG juices are much smoother and a little less flavoursome for me I moved on to trying Element Tangerine in this RDA. Being a 50PG/50VG juice I thought it made for a better indication of flavour. Once again it was still an airy vape and the design does not allow you to really close off the Cyclops slot when running in single coil mode. However flavour was great and while perhaps not as intense as a true flavour chaser RDA it was still extremely nice.
My second build was a dual coil once again using 26AWG Kanthal. The final resistance of my build was 0.5ohm and I wicked both coils with Japanese cotton. This time I used Element Mojito which is a real favourite of mine and the flavour in dual coil mode was excellent. It was still an airy vape but I found I could close down the airflow to my liking which isn’t really possible when using a single coil because turning the airflow controller just ends up opening the opposite slot. Once more vapour production was great but definitely improved due to the dual coil build.
Even though this RDA allows the single coil option you can clearly tell that has really been designed for dual coil builds and single coil seems to be something of an afterthought. In my opinion dual coil is the only way you should use this dripper if you want to get the best from it.
One brilliant feature of this dripper is that due to the Delrin insulated base and Chuff cap the heat is kept to a minimum and you won’t burn your lips at high wattage.
The REMentry is a great little RDA. It does have its limitations due to the top cap design but for anyone who just wants a straightforward three post RDA that has good flavour and cloud production this will suit them nicely! I feel that this would also be a decent choice for a newcomer to RDA’s because it is very user friendly and easy to build.
In my opinion this RDA way is better in dual coil than single and the design of the airflow does seem to favour a dual but even if you haven’t tried a dual coil build before this RDA is very straightforward to work with so don’t be put off.
For an authentic American made RDA the £29.99 price tag is very reasonable and you are getting a decently machined product for your money with the added advantage that it is incredibly light and smart looking!
