STEAM Tea and Vape Meet

If you are at a loose end on Saturday July 2nd please come and join in the celebrations, to mark the 12 month anniversary of Steam Tea & Vape opening in Nottingham.

Nottingham is well known for many historical figures from Robin Hood to Abednego Thompson. The City has many claims to fame, including Jake Bugg, Carl Froch and apparently a 3:1 ratio of females to males. It also has a bright and lively nightlife as well as the cave systems running throughout the city.

Mapperley Top in Nottingham is a bustling little shopping centre. Tranquil yet busy with many small independently run businesses. Set just back from this is a hidden gem, some rumour it to be the best tea in town, others just love the atmosphere.

What sets this cafe apart from the rest I hear you say? It's a cafe run by Chris. Chris had an idea... He wanted to create a space for vapers to enjoy and escape the hustle and bustle of day to day life. STEAM Tea & Vape was born. Starting small in a new market was a risk, he had a vision which he acted upon. STEAM Tea & Vape initially stocked mainly specialty teas, with a small range of vaping hardware and e-liquids.

A business venture, especially a small independently one could make or break a man. Chris believed in his idea, he has now been open and running for 12 months and is going from strength to strength.

STEAM Tea & Vape stocks an astounding collection of some 50 delicious, specialist loose leaf teas. A variety of vapers frequent STEAM, some come for the vape yet stay for the tea. After a long hard day in the office, is there anything better, than sitting down on a comfy leather sofa with a cup of Moroccan Mint Tea in one hand and a tank full of Bunkr's Apple Strudel in the other? This is one of the many reasons STEAM Tea & Vape is a welcoming place to visit.

Safety is a number one priority at STEAM Tea & Vape, this is why they only have regulated devices on display. All customers are shown how to setup and operate devices before leaving the store, as well as taking away the comfort of knowing the STEAM team are on hand if they have any questions or need any help with a device. STEAM Tea & Vape does stock two unregulated devices, its own brand parallel 18650 box mod and the Noisy Cricket. For a customer to purchase these devices they must demonstrate that they are comfortable and well versed in battery safety, ohms law and maintenance of the devices.

STEAM also currently stocks many brands you may recognize such as POTVs very own:-

Manabush
Dripworx
El Diablo

As well as some astounding juices from both the UK and the US.

Some of you may be aware via the forum, STEAM Tea & Vape is coming up to its 12 months anniversary of opening. They'd love to see as many Planet of The Vapes members as possible. If you are at a loose end on Saturday July 2nd please feel free to join in the celebrations, take the load off your feet and enjoy a Coffee / Specialty tea. It's a chance to mix and mingle with like minded people, and put a face to names. POTVs very own Manabush / ZT should be in attendance, as well as Chris the owner of STEAM with Huggett on hand with the coffee. Special guests will hopefully include several of the Manchester POTV guys! Honestly, I don't think there is anything better than a POTV meet!

Dave Junglist is co-owner of Planet of the Vapes and has been vaping since 2015.  He spent his early years with his head in a bass bin and was a very committed and experienced smoker.  He had his first cigarette at the age of 13 and just knew it was for him.  He did stop briefly with the aid of patches but reverted quickly and became a ‘secret’ smoker, working hard to keep his weak will from the attention of his family.  Vaping made an honest man of him and for this he is forever thankful. He has been involved in websites since completing a degree in Environmental Science in the late nineties.  At that time there was pretty much no contact with computers but on joining the regular workforce and deciding that the world-wide-web was the future he blagged his first job as a web designer and never looked back. As you would expect from a junglist, Dave likes his beats and is most comfortable when the bass is wobbly.
