Sub Ohm Wotofo SMM Serpent Elevate RTA + GIVEAWAY

Since my last post on this topic I've acquired the proper bubble glass to replace the plastic one that broke so I'm now able to use this thing properly and I'm very impressed. As with most RTAs the wicking requires a good degree of accuracy but it's the worth the trial and error to get it right. I expected that there wouldn't be enough airflow for anything too powerful because of the way it goes from top to bottom in a fairly restricted space down the side. Fine by me because I didn't want it for high power anyway, but just to see if it could handle it I put a 0.18Ohm coil on it and ran it at 90W. And it's fine. A tiny bit warm for me but then I like a cooler vape than most people so I think some people might not even need max AFC at that power. Current build is a 0.55Ohm Clapton running at 30W with the AFC open to just under halfway and I'm getting a very nice dense flavourful vape.

Brilliant review thank you and congratulations to the winner. I’m wondering if there’s an O ring problem somewhere causing vapour lock on your tank. I’m not that great at wicking so I’m going to give this one a miss I think

Thanks Lucas.
Shortly after this review I bought a Wasp Nano RTA and it's far far better, easy to coil and wick plus larger capacity if you bottom fill it.

I'm reviewing it but it's on the backburner as I'm knee deep fitting an entire new bathroom - bit off more than I can chew!

But my review will highly rate this RTA as one of the best single coilers.

Thanks for the information, the only thing I know that I wouldn’t like about the Wasp is that I won’t be able to put a drip tip on it like I did with the RDA version. I am really interested in getting the OFRF Gear RTA as it seems just right for me but I’m going to have to wait until next month as I’ve just blown most of my vape budget .:54:All the best with the bathroom, rather you than me lol.
I look forward to reading your other reviews.

Unlike the RDA version you really don't need a drip tip, the coil is further down and there's no spitback, in fact they have been very clever with the top cap as it's hollow so if you bottom fill instead of top fill you get an extra 2ml in the tank, ingenious 2 finger salute at TPD :18:
