whilst having a clear-out I found a piston from a merc in the workshop i stuck it on the side and thought about doing something with it
it was pretty grubby the piston had failed as the sparkplug has blew it cuts apart sticking part of itself down the side of the piston
the piston has its rings and the oil scraper ring in place
so I set about it I boiled it in a special blend of Tescos white vinegar and water plus some other things then hit it up on the polisher
the 510 is raised to match the sides as the piston is concave in the centre so it will take a 30mm to 40mm tank
here's the result boxed
it's up for sale and at a silly cheap price to clear if you fancy it
