Unfortunately the time has come where we need to post some guidelines for businesses wanting to place an advert to recruit staff.

As an absolute minimum the following MUST be included, failure to do so will result in one of the crew prompting you to update your advert, failure to adhere to the prompt will result in your advert being deleted.

1. Job specification. We do not expect you to list everything, just give an overview as to what the role involves and the level of experience/transferable skills required.

2. Whether it is temp, perm or FTC (fixed term contract).

2. Hours ie minimum amount per week you expect the person employed to work.

3. Salary banding and benefits. Please ensure the job you are advertising meets NMW (national minimum wage), statutory holidays etc.

4. Location. As a minimum the city must be mentioned as the UK is quite a big place. If outside the UK please state city AND country.

5. Closing date for applications. This will enable us to keep this sub-forum tidy and relevant for those seeking a new position.

One bump of the thread will be allowed every 7 days, any more will result in the bump being removed.

For members placing adverts use 1 - 4 above as a guide, DO NOT add your private contact details ie phone/email to your adverts. If a business likes your advert they can pm you.

As with any advert it is down to each person to undertake their own due diligence when responding. If it SOUNDS too good to be true.......
