I was sent this device by @Thea from HealthCabin.net for the purpose of review. It is available here
www.healthcabin.net/voopoo-drag-157w-box-mod-p/13905.html
Some pics
First impressions are it has nice clean lines feels reassuringly weighty and has nicely clicky buttons. A really nice clear screen with an easily readable font. This display is easily viewable in all light conditions.
The internals are super clean looks great with white sled. Clearly marked positives and negatives.
One side looks good with the carbon fibresque transfer and small"voopoo"logo, the other side is a totally different kind of look.."DRAG"In massive letters fills the battery panel.. Not a look I would have gone for Tbh.
The 510 is excellent its not a run of the mill press fit effort. It's fixed in place with 2 torx screws and has a nice firm sprung positive.
The bottom of the mod has venting to help cool the board /internals
Absolutely no button or door rattle the huge magnets hold it nice and tight.
The box is 24mm wide but because the edges are slightly chamfered a small lip is visible when attaching a 24 mm atty. It's not overhanging its just the box is 23mm on the flat top but 24mm overall.
The micro usb is for charging and firmware upgrade.
In wattage mode I feel like I'm getting the full power its set at really nice to have 157 watts on tap, if your atty is below 0.3ohms pressing the +button goes up to 129 watts then stops... Press it again and the display says "SUPER" and continues up to 157 watts. Boosting the performance.
The chip seems really intuitive. A few multiple button presses and your In SS then NI then TI then back to watts.
In wattage you have the option to set 5 presets. Where you can even alter ramp up times.. There are lots more things you can alter with the software available here
http://en.voopootech.com/download-service/?
Only available for Windows (if your a Mac fan boy take note)
Overall it's a good quality box mod that feels reassuringly weighty and has a really nice clear screen. Has lots of bells and whistles to keep tinkerers happy.
