i’m no sure about the tube with a bit stuck on the side look. i see a few of these kind of mods these days.

In general I'd agree, but I think this one looks really nice. Especially the green one.

1. Reduce brightness of the screen;
2. Show firmware version (in lock mode, press +and – at the same time);
3. New screen UI color (blue, green,red). 3 clicks to enter setting, and choose color.
4. Press “up” and “down” for 3 seconds to lock/unlock the “up” and “down” buttons in watt mode.

Firmware 1.3 tested

Screen Brightness is much better, still bright and clear without being quite so dazzling.
Firmware version displayed in lock mode when +/- are held together.
All three colour options are nice and carry over to the TC and Bypass modes too, so the theme is more uniform between the modes.
Up Down button lock confirmed.

Custom Boot up Logo available in the Atom Chip Tool. (I didn't mess with that as I like the Cthulhu logo!)

The new firmware is just an update to the 'program' on the chip.

I expect all the new batches will have the update already installed, ones that were boxed up and sent out before won't.

It's easy enough to do if you access to a PC, Laptop if not.
