A Design Award and the Muse Award are the world’s distinguished international design competitions of the year. The A Design Award is even denoted with the “Oscar of European Design Community” name. THe European Design Association and Federation of International Graphics Design Associations select the winner and the runner ups for the reputed award.
Among all the 2019-2020 designs, the associations found MOTI’s Chair Moongate design different and exceptional. The Chair Moongate is designed by the company’s design team for its offline stores.

As like all other MOTI’s products, Moongate chair also aims to improve user experience along with proper comfort and quality. The company with a vast brochure of quality products relies on ethics, traditional structure, and innovative circular framework. It uses carbon fiber material + traditional wood mortise + tenon structure for better strength chair with less weight. It is a mixture of beautiful design and cutting edge technology.
Before creating Chair Moongate, the company extensively researched the living habits of around 200 volunteers from different regions, ages, and genders. After evaluating, MOTI’s design team carved 17 different models and picked the Chair Moongate design at last.
It is not for the first time the designer has won the award, they already won four world design awards. The awards include American IDEA Design Award, German iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, and Japanese Good Design Award. Moreover, the company declared the winner for its two atomized e-cigarette designs.
On the auspicious occasion, MOTI’s director said, “Its design inspiration comes from the arch in the Chinese ancient garden, the moon cave. The circle design of the round hole is more transparent in the sense of visual space, and also implies that there is no gap between people’s communication. The circle has the meaning of completeness and perfection.”
