E-liquid Flavourings, are they at risk?

Plus, if you go have a gander at Hansard, you’ll see the DUP shadow health spokesperson asking about vaping last week. The response from Brine indicates regulation will be relaxed post-Brexit, not firmed up.

And what can he or her do?fuck all other that sweet talking. yes time will tell the old brexit has taken some time ain't it? I hope a crash don't happen when we do finish this brexit deal bullshit. Bet it duz, cxxts

E-liquid is under fire as official bodies in the US start talking about banning flavoured e-liquid, this is something that could be adopted globally, what I want to know is how would this affect vaping?

Do flavourings carry importance and what would that mean for you if e-liquid became flavourless?

Any responses or replies would help!

Short headline answer.....Global Disaster

America is right, they are always right, they never do owt to harm there own nation and ensure everyone is super healthy, those nice private health care companies dont want people getting ill and paying for there services so they ensure smoking is seen as healither. Just saying

Interestingly, there is a ban on flavoured fags. When I smoked, I would occasionally
enjoy a wee chocolate clubmaster cigar if I was out drinking.

Hi KatieH
a bit rushed so this will have to be quick.
Can I ask if you smoke or vapes in the past and what your views are on the research you've done so far.
Also have you heard of the dreaded popcorn lung which is caused by a certain flavouring called diacetyl.
Gotta go but will be back later.

Hi,

I do vape and made the switch from smoking about two years ago, personally, I think flavourings are imperative to reduce the number of people taking a step back to smoking. Yes, I have heard of popcorn lung and diacetyl is an ingredient banned by UK/EU regulations if vapers buy from trusted suppliers it shouldn't be an issue.

sounds like it's not thought out.

so you are now not allowed to buy flavoured e-liquid.

step 1) buy unflavoured e liquid
step 2) buy flavouring
step 3) mix

done. queue shops selling unflavoured e liquid and a flavouring bottle see short-fills.

they can't ban buying flavouring separately because they're used in all sorts of things.

Pretty short article then. There’ll be no potential effect in the U.K.

I refer you to the latest select committee report and the most recent update to the Public Health England report - both of which drive government policy on this matter...both of which are overwhelmingly supportive of vaping and recognise the essential role flavours play in bringing down the incidences of tobacco related harm.

Plus, if you go have a gander at Hansard, you’ll see the DUP shadow health spokesperson asking about vaping last week. The response from Brine indicates regulation will be relaxed post-Brexit, not firmed up.

Coverage of the Brine questions will be on POTV News this week, coverage of flavour issues can be found there going back to 2013. Please give credit if you use any of it. Thank you.

A link is in my sig.

While the likeliness of flavourings being banned in the UK is low the chatter it's caused is something to look at, it's more about questioning why flavourings are important to vapers and not necessarily a 'news' article that states flavourings are going to be banned. It's fair to say that the ins and outs of vaping are only really known by those who vape or have industry knowledge. It's about breaking the barriers and giving supportive answers to the public from vapers who have seen the positives of vaping.
