What's new

some new news from yorkshire cancer research

Thank you.

This needs more attention.... I'll post it in a more visible section.

I`ve been reading a few of the articles concerning the views of some of the medical, scientific and generally non vaping public. Most of the articles are ancient but a lot of the opinions and misconceptions still persist.
I started vaping at about the same time that some of the articles were written and I can remember being called ridiculous and being told that vaping was worse for my health than smoking and that was just with a cigalike.
Even today opinions haven`t changed that much, we are still herded together with smokers in some ramshackle out building that I swear are designed to be as uncomfortable as possible. I`ve been stood outside the wifes favourite clothes shop in town having a crafty puff when a couple walks past and swerves almost into the road like I`ve got dreaded lurgy, whilst wafting their hands in front of their faces which are contorted into that " I can smell fart " face.
Recently we treated ourselves to a weekend away and on one of the nights we went out to a swanky restaurant, there was a pizza oven, 2 of those indoor barbeques and a candle burning at every table, it was a filthy night tippling down with rain and quite windy but when I asked our waiter if it would be OK to vape you would have thought I`d stuck a gun in his ribs and asked for his wallet.
Surely the government are raking in enough in tobacco taxes to be able to commission a study into any possible health implications and especially a census to find out just how many people have used vaping to reduce or quit the smoking habit.
Rant over.

we get a decent official report of pro vaping then a few days later you get the mail and mirror telling horror stories which were already old news and been debunked by the experts.
due to the majority of public who can easily pick up a newspaper they believe what they read but would never search for and read through a full medical report as they use big words.
so one step forward and 3 steps back.

dont these cockwombles understand that NHS hospitals around the country certainly would not be opening vaping shops in a hospital main corridoor if there was a risk.

oh and Cancer researck UK would not be stating that no evidence of harm to bystanders.

A few years ago I was under a specialist and on one visit I spotted a vape on his desk, we got talking and his opinion was that he had not seen even 1 peer reviewed report and until he did he would carry on vaping, he reckoned that I had more chance of being beaten to death by an angry butterfly that dying from the effects of vaping.

a few on here have tried to get medical life insurance over the years but when one of them said he does not smok he vapes he was put down as a smoker and the premium went up. he said they also told him them things are as bad as smoking.
