A POTV EVENT

From the experience of VF18, I believe we ought to bring back the National POTV meet.

My initial thoughts are:
Free to attend
Vendors would be welcome but it’s not about them, it’d be a non-profit so tressel tables at best
It needs to be able to offer mixed accommodation for people who like beds, people who have vans with ice cold beer in fridges and camping scum like @HAZZA1962
A bar is absolutely, totally essential
Bacon must be available
A raffle with the proceeds going to a charity in Tubby’s memory

Location:
The South/South East is a pig to get to and around, and out of reach for the more Northern apes
The Southwest is a shit during holiday times
So, I’d go somewhere in a band between central England up to the Lakes

The Lakes worked as a venue and maybe @junglist & @OccultScientist could give some though as to popping up a marquee if we had no indoor area - but that conversation is down the road.

Accommodation wise I don’t think camping would be out of the question so long as there’s hotels within a reasonable distance for those that don’t fancy it.

I think in the organisation stages deposits would be essential in order to stop said organisers getting pissed about. Yes vendors if they fancy it, but stay away from it being commercialised in any way, shape or form.

A great idea, my favourite part of yesterday was just chatting away in the POTV tent. Be good to just relax, vape and have a laugh.

Location is tricky as I'm sure we are spread from Cornwall to Scottish Highlands! Maybe North Yorkshire? Lots of camping venues, lots of hotels/B&Bs as touristy yet still near major hubs like Leeds, York etc for those on trains coming from the south.

Loving the idea though and sign me, Lizzie and the Mutt up!

Yorkshire works. Simply because it’s accessible. Derbyshire would be an option too?

I think rural ish, or at least rural feeling would be good if it could be managed...
