Out of interest had anyone used micro mesh pads? I’ve seen people polish acrylics to a glass like finish with them. Was wondering if these would be any good for this kind of thing. They go up to 12000 grit.

You can buy Biorb scratch repair kit for their plastic aquariums that will take out scratches,, its very cheap(Just a couple of quid) so if the scratches are to deep then you have not wasted a lot of money.

Yes, they'd work.

You'd have to start with a much lower count grit and (after thinking you've ruined it completely) work your way up through the grades removing the scratches from the previous grade each time. Finish with a nice buffing compound.

It'll take ages - well worth it on some things, whether this mod would justify the effort isn't my call.
