If you mean nichrome or Ni80 then no it is not suitable for TC. Someone like @John R is a good person to ask on TC if you want more info on that. Pretty sure he uses NiFe 30.
 
Technically you could use Nichrome for Temp Control but realistically the TCR is so low (half of stainless steel) so it's extremely doubtful if you could find a mod capable of using it.

There were a few mods that's claimed they did it..... but it doesn't work.

I think the biggest problem is that you need to measure changes in resistance down so low and so precise that it becomes completely unstable... like you go outside from being indoors and that change in ambient temperature completely changes the vape.

It might work in controlled lab settings but out in the real world it doesn't at all imo.
 
Yeah, I'd stick to the recognized TC wire types ie Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel or NiFe.
