How to take out a stuck coil?

So I just got a TFV8 baby tank with the Alien, trying to take out the pre-installed coil and I swear I think it was the hulk who screwed in that coil because it ain't budging! Anything I can do to try and loosen it apart from throwing the full thing through a window?!

These can be tricky little bastards.

I grip the coil with pliers and twist the base by hand.

Thanks, I best have a rummage for some pliers! I have the big baby beast too and didn't have a problem with that one at all so this one caught me off guard
