Hey Guys,

So ive done my studying, im absolutely loving vaping, got a load of juice sitting in my cupboard i'd now like to experiment safely with my first mech mod..

Budget in mind, ive whittled it down to these two....(links are acutal potential suppliers price to buy from)

Wismec (in white honeycomb)

https://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/wismec-rx-machina-e-cig-kit-and-e-liquid.html

or

The Dreamer (black/brass)

https://www.evolutionvaping.co.uk/the-dreamer-mechanical-mod-by-timesvape.html

Would apprecaite some help here before i purchase, pros and cons for both, i ve watched endless youtube reviews on both but cant decide..the dreamer seems to be favourable with the 21700 option....

thanks guys,

Lou

https://www.fasttech.com/products/3024/10022609/9054402 works out to £28. odd use Uk express epacket postage and it will arrive in about 7 days Plus it is in stock

http://hotecig.com/Product/Authenti...-Mod-wGuillotine-RDA-KitWhite-Honeycomb-64281. £18.50 for the mech without the dripper

https://www.fasttech.com/products/3024/10022609/9054400 even cheaper at £24 odd

Top one saves you £15 plus postage also the Machina is 20700 compatible.

I would go for the Machina just because it is cheaper and just a battery tube like all mechs. Ok some are made with better materials or better quality but the performance difference isn't really a lot no matter how much you spend, if it where a regulated mod then i would go for the one with the best chipset even though it would cost more

There are no decent 21700 batteries currently on the market. The best 18650 will perform better than the best 21700. So if you have the option of 18650 , 20700 or 21700 I would strongly suggest you go for either the 18650 or 20700 and forget all about the 21700. Bigger does not mean better. 20700 will be the best option out of the 3 and 18650 will be second best with 21700 being last choice.

I don't like the fact that neither are internally insulated but that's your choice to make. The Dreamer is full hybrid with hybrid top cap which will slightly restrict you to what you can use up top. Anything you use MUST have a protruding 510 pin. The Machina is not a hybrid and it has a regular top cap with 510 connection. It also comes with an rda. With the Dreamer you will need to find an rda for it with a protruding 510 pin.

Entirely up to you. All depends on what floats your boat. As far as the options for the Dreamer go, personally, I would never take brass over copper as copper conducts better and will have less voltage drop.

There are a lot of mechs out there to choose from. But ultimately it comes down to personal taste.

... and in terms of performance? Will one be better than the other or that’s not the case with mechs? Same battery same power as not interference.

My current RDA’s

And

http://www.vandyvape.com/atomizer/rda/bonza-rda.html

Both mechs look good but being a novice I really don’t know why would be best in terms of performance nd really appreciate your futther help ....

Which one would you choose guys and why?

Thanks again

Lou

As a first mech I'd choose neither, the dreamer is the better mod but it's no better in performance than a broadside (18650) or admeral(20700) which come with a 510 and a delrin lined tube for saftey [emoji6]

Out of my price range, and will have to take extra care with battery wraps....

Thanks anyway for the reply

Knucklehead Vapes do 1:1 clones of both mods for about £30 I've had both original broadside and clone from knucklehead and the only difference is the warranty card was not signed with the clone and not a lot of money to lose if you decide mechs ant for you [emoji5]

A decent Broadside clone can be had from fasttech for ~£15 https://www.fasttech.com/p/7088602
Not only far better than the kit you are looking at safety wise but looks wise.

Next your current drippers are 25mm, the tubes you've been looking at are 24mm so you'll have a bit of over hang, I know that upsets some people.

1: What kit do you use the now?
2: What do you expect from a mech set up?
3: Do you know how to build for a mech, by which I mean what wires work out better?

The Dreamer is 27mm body tapered to 25mm as evolution advert link would suggest?

The Machina dimensions are 116mm x 28mm as other op link would say? So not sure how there would be overhang?

1. Use Smok X-priv
2. Raw vaping experience. Better lung hit?
3. Presumably wires that ramp up quickly to avoid unnecessary battery drain? Not to sure, perhaps the experienced vapers here could educate me further?

Thanks for you reply dude

Lou

A Broadside clone would be my choice. Have had a couple, great clutch mechanism on the switch, non hybrid, internal insulation. Very little vdrop. Did pick up an authentic, zero performance difference.
Maybe a little more of a fiddle to set up initially with rda and battery than the others but well worth it.
