Arrive early or late?

Hello everyone, I've just purchased my train ticket for Shrewsbury. All day off peak return for £13.70. I could have drove from Birmingham where I live, but petrol cost would have been more and I want a few beers while I'm there.

I can get one train that will get me into Shrewsbury for 9.20 or the next one will be 10.15. Is it worth arriving early or just turn up later to avoid the queues?

You are arriving early. I was going to get the train from New Street but its coming up quicker if I get one train to Smethwick Galton BDG then a connecting train from there.
