Following last years joyous event at Hawkshead we couldn't wait any longer so we (BigAndy and Myself) will be hosting another vape meet in the beautiful Lake District. This time it will be held at YHA Ambleside on the weekend of 27th and 28th February 2015.
Whilst it is short notice and some will not be able to attend; we will be thinking of you, many of us are looking forward to meeting up and catching up with each other to see what has happened since last September!
Ambleside has a village about 15 minutes slow stroll if you wish to venture out of the comfort of the accommodation. There is also a ferry that operates a few minutes away from the accommodation which will take you around Lake Windermere for a few hours and you will get to see some lovely sights from it. For the energetic amongst us there are obviously the hills and mountains that can be tackled for a brisk walk or climb should the desire arise (maps and information can be obtained from the knowledgeable receptionists) . For the keen outdoor winter swimmers the lake is sufficiently large for you to use
The hostel itself overlooks Lake Windermere, and has a beautiful bar stocked with everything (most things) you would ever want! Along side a full bar menu available all day everyday.
We will have a 'vaping lounge' where you can also see Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains (all those who have me as a FB friend can see what some of the views are due to the photos I have uploaded). I must emphasise that vaping is strictly to be kept to the vaping lounge as we do not have sole occupancy with this meet and there will be other guests using all the other communal areas.
We are also setting up a juice bar where you will get to sample the delights of various juices in your dripper / atty. Who knows you may walk away finding something special to buy.
There will also be a 'free to a good home' table where you can place your unloved gear and hope that it may find a new home where it will be loved and looked after
The main event will be the Saturday night as it was last time but you all all more than welcome to come and join us on the Friday as well as we will have the Vaping lounge open for us to fog up!
The rooms vary in price depending on whether you want sole use of a room for you and your friends or family or if you fancy booking into a dormitory room with other guests (non-vapers) who are staying up here.
A heavily discounted rate has been secured for those wishing to stay the weekend (Friday / Saturday night) and by using the code (VAPE-015) this will give you 50% of the actual price!
To give you a few examples, so you have a rough idea:
A bed in a shared room with other guests, with the discount, is from 10.00 pounds for the Saturday night!
A private room with 3 beds, with the discount, is from 45.00 pounds for the Saturday night. Get 2 mates to go with you and its 15.00 pounds each for the Saturday!
A private room with 4 beds, with the discount, could cost 37.50 pounds for the Saturday, get 3 mates to go with you and its 8.75 pounds each for the Saturday!
A private room with 5 beds (one of them is a double bed), with the discount, could cost 75.00 pounds for the Saturday, get 4 mates to go with you and its 15.00 pounds each for the Saturday!
You all get the general idea now
How do you book this event?
You will need to click on this link YHA Ambleside Hostel | Lake district holidays & activity breaks and book via the YHA website, this will then allow you to check which room style you want and also book it directly and utilise the discount (VAPE-015).
Breakfast can also be booked when making your booking (it costs 4.99) or it can be purchased when arriving and checking in or in the morning should your belly be rumbling (be aware that breakfast is served 7.30 am until 9.30 am).
Kindly be aware that this is a first come first served meet and once the rooms are sold we cannot magic any more up!.
