Ni80 flatwire for me, my preference is dual coils to 0.2-0.3 ohms, on a single 18650 mech i prefer it to any fancy coils that i've tried so far.

7/8 wraps of 23g Brochrome, comes to about 0.3 ohms, tasty build!!

Just an update chaps, got my brochrome yesterday, got a build up and running today, 7 wraps at 3mm coming out at 0.23 ohms, chucked a 25r in and away it goes, ramp up is much better than kanthal Claptons and flavour is maybe a little better than Claptons but not massively so, the faster ramp up is a definite winner though, no more dull first drags, happy chap at this end, thanks for the recommendation @mattyk2010

It is great wire. I tend to use it at around 0.4 ohms in my mech squonkers. Gives far more flavour than any fancy wire's I've used. You will find you end up using it constantly.

I’m a fan of SS. I’ve dabbled with ni80 but it leaves a strange taste, also doesn’t seem to clean up with a gentle dryburning between changing wick.

Seems I’m in the minority though. I like SS Claptons/flaptons etc. Ramps up fast and gives great flavour for me. [emoji108]
