Do you use mechs at all?Hey people, just a question to anyone in the know with vaping and metal working knowledge I have an idea for a mech and wanted peoples input on how it can get done!
I have used a mech in the past but this is an idea I have as a gift for a stacked mech for a buddy of mine.Do you use mechs at all?
Awesome I can get all of the metal work done but I'm wanting ideas on how to go about it weather to cut the head of the bolt off hollow it out and thread it to accommodate the button and be able to thread the shaft. Then bore the shaft out and take the end off just because its too long for 2 batteries and thread that for the 510. If there's any good ideas of how to go about it fire away hahaYes it can be done.
If you have a column drill, vice, lathe, taps, dies and some electrical knowledge, then it would be a nice little project.
If you don't, it's not worth it.
Its a YFS 12.9That looks like an M30 cap screw now what really matters is what is stamped on the end . 8.8 10.9 12.9 as that tells you how hard it is and how machinable it is.
Oh I know I can do that but that defeats the purpose of having a fun little project with something I know is mine. You don't need the cap screw. Any decent turner could make something that looks like it out of any metal you wanted.
