Temp control newbie. I must be doing something wrong?

Tried it with a Rose V2 and a Lemo V1. Same effect with both.

Hmm, try putting in far less wick than you are used to, it should slip into the coil without pulling at it at all - just enough wick for it to touch the coil...

I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on. I do tend to use a fair bit of wick.
