Colours of different wires after heating.

Built few coils out of different wires but cant remember which wires which. A wire i'm using has gone mettalic blue/purple. But not sure if safe to use in wattage mode.

That sounds likely to be stainless steel @redmatt76, but I'd wait to hear from the more knowledgeable Apes before using it in wattage mode, just in case it might be summat else

If you're worried it's nickel just check the resistance if it is it will be super low.

8 wraps 2mm inner .63 ohm 24/26g duel coil.

None of the wires fit the wraps / resistance at 2mm I/D - but at 3mm I/D then 26ga Kanthal A1 gives a very close match...

I should have checked it again. Single coil was .73 think one of coils is shorting. Will check in min. Work gets in the way. Haha.

Even with single at 0.73 it's still too high to be anything but Kanthal...

unles your iD and gauge size is off - 28ga SS316L at 2.3mm ID is pretty close to 0.7

My ni80 wire goes blue when warmed up. Then after a dry burn it is grey.
