Hey guys, this was my first attempt at TC vaping but doesn't seem to be working correctly...
I may be missing something drastic, or maybe not doing something properly...
So I have just built a dual SS316 clapton coils, 0.25 ohms. And these are the setting I set on my mod...
So selected SS TCR 0105. Set the temperature to 250C, I locked the resistance at 0.25ohms and set the wattage to 80. All seems correct so far I think, basing it on videos and threads I have read.
So I took a vape and it is much much cooler than I expected, compared to my kanthal in power mode at similar wattages. But this is where things get strange...
So I watch my mod as I vape, that big screen does come in handy lol, and watts dont get anywhere near where i set them to, it will go up to 45 watts. But and here's the but, in my 4/5 second vape, temperature doesn't hit 250C, itll get to about 190.
If I set the temp to 315, it will get to 200c firing only 60 watts...
If I lower the watts and temp, it will lower the output even further.
I hope that makes sense, I thought TC should get the temp up as quickly as possible or as I said I could be missing something.
As always I look forward to your thoughts
