Recurve airflow.

So I just got the Recurve and even fully open it is still quite restricted.
So I was thinking of running a larger drill bit through the air holes to make them bigger. Has anyone done this and any tips?

I did just that but it still didn't become what i wanted from it.
The insulators get a bit mashed up too so my advice would be to archive it just incase your vaping changes or move it on and pick up something else.
