Kanthal good for short puff?

I noticed that when I build with Kanthal the cotton dry faster and I need to do short puff to avoid dry hit, I use a squonk and if I puff straight after a fresh squeeze is nice.
So I was wondering if I do something wrong or you experienced the same?

Kathal has a slower ramp up time than Ni 80 or SS....so it may be possible your coil is drying up a wee bit pre vape.....just adjust the wattage...and adapt your squonking style to suit the kanthal.

I would have thought that would mean it would dry out less quickly, rather than more quickly, though. As it’s not heating up as fast.
