Aspire Neeko - swapping tank

Hi All
Loving this tank but for the life of me I can’t separate the glass tube from the top / chimney. I’m assuming these separate as they’ve supplied an alternate metal / PSU tube.
Any tips? All the usual stuff has failed (rubber gloves etc), and I’m fearful of breaking the glass if I use any more force. In case my description is awful I’ve attached a pic of the two bits I mean.

Warm water soak should help the o-ring soften abit then it should come off

The o ring sometimes seals to the glass when dry or new.
Easiest way is to pop a finger inside the chamber and thumb on the outside of the glass and squeeze.
Rotate and squeeze again and it will come away.
