I just run mine under the tap till clear. Leave for a bit and then shake out most of the water. Kitchen towel as much as I can and then fill. Pretty simple really

Thanks. Not sure what kind of plastic is used, do we need to be careful of certain juices cracking or melting it like polycarbonate tanks?
