    Clear perspex? Or rob something off an old mod/dead electrical item that is the correct size for your needs?

    Clear acrylic or polycarbonate
    Can cut and file with hand tools

    Thanks guys. The next one will have a smaller window aperture and a perspex flush screen cover. Also going to wax the case to make it shiny ;-)

    Wood wax is always nice and so easy to maintain.

    I've got some coming. Hopefully it will bring out the colour of the wood and give it a little gloss.

    Put it in the sun to hit it up and open the grain then give it a coat and repeat a couple times. Initially it will look as if you put a hard finish on it.
