Decided to have a go.
First the wood. An old Eucalyptus tree i took down for a local.
They offered me the wood for my burner.
So we begin.
Can already see some grain running here there and everywhere.
Chopped out a piece.

To the pillar drill.
Nothing fancy just what i have,
Drilled out two holes. Then thought i'd do too more and see what happens.
Treacle coming to inspect.
Now to seperate the two halves. And start to shape the wood.
Once seperated start to sand down and shape the wood into something usable.
Then there was two. i'm really pleased with how they come out at this point.
And can clearly see where they were joined.
Next bit is the cut out to squeeze the bottle. Normally i cut myself at this point. Make lots of small cuts with a hack saw.
Then bust out with a stanley knife and sand back to get the shape i want.
It does take some time but i like it.
