Nasty Juice are one of the great global vaping success stories having burst on to the scene back in 2015. The Malaysian e-liquid company has built a solid reputation for making some of the best high class flavours and has become a firm favourite with vapers around the world. Now we hear claims like this all the time but check out the number of awards Nasty Juice have won over the years, and you will see that the love is well and truly deserved.
E-liquids.com reached out and asked if we’d be interested in checking out the latest range of flavours from Nasty juice and of course we said “Hell Yeah!”, so they have very kindly send out the range of Nasty Bar disposables to me and Simon will be taking care of the nic salts versions so whether you are a disposables fan or you prefer to use your own kit, Nasty Juice have got your back.
Now when we were first approached to sort out these reviews, I wasn’t expecting such a large range of flavours, so it was a bit of a surprise when a huge package plopped through my door containing fourteen disposables. Woah! That’s quite a lot to go through! But the smell from the package was enough to really get me excited, it smelled phenomenal!
Now there is not much to be said about the actual design of the disposables, they are the standard tube shaped affairs with a contoured mouthpiece and the flavour and branding printed of the sides. There is, after all, only so much you can do when it comes to the visual design, and these basic tubes do the job, are comfortable to use and are small enough to stick in any pocket. The colour designs look good though, and the Nasty branding fits in well. They could have gone for a larger font which would have made them look cheap so I am glad they decided to hold back a bit. I really like the base though, it looks like a mini turbo fan and is a bit different, and it looks super cool when the LED on the base lights up. It is cool that they have found a few small ways to stamp their mark.
The boxes are certainly loud, and you won’t be able to miss them on the shelf, these really pop! Once inside, each disposable comes sealed in a plastic bag, simply rip it open, pull the sticker from the bottom and pop the seal and you are ready to go.
Each Nasty Bar contains 2ml of 50VG/50PG. The built in battery is 500mAh which is plenty enough to power the 1.3ohm mesh coil, and the coil is also perfectly designed to pull every last bit of flavour from these beauties. Speaking of flavours, I reckon it is time to get stuck in and see what these are all about!
Watermelon Strawberry Bubblegum

Straight away, you get a strong smell of refreshing watermelon, it is very fragrant. The taste is more balanced, you get a strong hit of juicy melon rounded out with a surprisingly reserved strawberry and nicely finished with a sweet bubblegum which leaves a lovely new chew aftertaste. I wasn’t expecting the balance to be so detailed, and it set me up nicely for the range. It is sweet, but is deceptively complex, especially for a disposable!
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry

The complexity carries on, this is setting up to be a real treat. The strawberry and raspberry smoothly blend into each other creating a really stable base for the cherry which is the start of the show. Cherry is one of my favourite flavours and this one is one of the best I’ve tried, really rich and decadent. This is a stone cold classic.
Watermelon Ice

This time the watermelon gets its own time to shine. It is such a clean flavour, but some might find it a little too sweet. For me, I preferred it blended with other flavours, but this is uncomplicated so if you like to keep things simple, it may be right for you. The Menthol is much needed as it gives the flavour a lift which elevates the whole experience.
Menthol

Super mint on steroids! There is more going on than straight menthol, it is more like a blend of fresh mint and spearmint with a health iced blast. There is nothing discrete or shy here and I think this will take any mint lover to flavour heaven.
Mineral Water

This was the most intriguing flavour in the bundle, I can say, hand on heart, that I have never seen a water flavour vape before and I genuinely didn’t know what to make of it until I tried it. Well it doesn’t taste of tap water, but I can see a resemblance to sparkling mineral water with a light effervescence. It is unlike anything I’ve vaped before, but I found it to be very moreish. Well done to Nasty Juice for pushing the boundaries too.
Pineapple Ice

Another strong single flavour juice here, fresh and juicy perfectly ripe pineapple which also manages to feel super smooth. The level of ice is spot on, light and fresh but without getting in the way of the pineapple. This is a lush tropical flavour which hits the spot nicely.
Kiwi Passion fruit Guava

Regular readers will know that I have a tricky relationship with kiwi in disposable vapes, and the description of it being “gritty” didn’t inspire much confidence, but the passion fruit and guava save the day. It still wouldn’t be one I’d personally go for as I feel the kiwi is too contrasting with the tropical vibes, but it is a very popular combination so I would say this is very much a personal preference thing.
Lemon Lime

Wham Bam thank you Ma’am, this one delivers a massive citrus hit and then some. It is sharp yet sweet and lingers for ages with its tangy tastebud teasing ways.
Fizzy Cherry

This is a perfect mix of glace cherries and cherry sherbet, like the sort you get in one side of a sherbet double dip. Seeing as I love both of these, this flavour had my name all over it!. There is also a subtle element of ice to keep things fresh. This is cherry done right.
Apple Ice

I’ll take deviant apple over annoying orange any day (how’s that for an outdated reference!). Now I am not sure I’d say this was a badly behaved apple, but it is crisp and fresh, perhaps a little too sweet for me but it is very juicy and has a certain authenticity underneath all that sugar.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry

I love the mix of blueberries and raspberries; it is always going to be a winner, and this is no exception. It has the fragrance of light blueberries with a sharp raspberry tang, the yin to each other’s yang so to speak. I love the balance here and the bold blend cuts through so well.
Pink Lemonade

This is a great twist on classic lemonade with the citrus punch being up front but weaving in and out is a sweet and rich berry blend. It really works in a disposable vape, and the mesh coils really help to bring all the flavour to the party.
Mango Peach Pineapple

This is another one that has my name stamped all over it, I am a sucker for tropical vibes, and this brings them in abundance. The mango and peach are rich and smooth, very sweet but you wouldn’t expect anything less when mango comes out to play. The pineapple is a bit more subtle but gives things an earthy texture to the vape. Finally, the ice hint brings things round full circle. Masterful stuff!
Gummy Bear

We finish on what could be a controversial note as this week the vaping news has been full of articles suggesting that many companies are steering clear of flavours that could be attractive to kids. Whilst I can see the point, we absolutely should be doing everything we can to make sure that vaping is aimed at adults trying to stay off the ciggies, the devil on my shoulder can’t help but point out that adults also like sweets and sweet flavours. It is a wide variety of flavours that is a massive contributor to the success of vaping, and I can vouch for how much sweet flavours have helped on my personal vaping journey. The thing is, this doesn’t really taste of gummy bears, more a mix of sweet fruity flavours done in a candy style. It is possibly a bit more generic than some of the other flavours, but if you like sweet, candy style flavours, get it while you can!
Final Thoughts
I have been pretty blown away by the quality of flavour Nasty juice have brought to the table with these new Nasty Bar disposables, these really are going to shake up the competition. Seriously these will have the power to shake things up with the high quality and sheer range of choice on offer here. Nasty Juice feels like it was made for the disposables market, balancing classic flavours with masterful blending. It will be interesting to see how Simon gets on when he covers the nic salts versions of the new range.
