UK Vaping Industry Association has announced that its Forum’s key sponsorship has been snapped up by market leading brand. Specialist packaging company Chubby Gorilla has been revealed as the headline sponsor for UKVIA’s upcoming Industry Forum. Arcus Compliance, a leading regulatory firm for the vape industry, has also been confirmed as the ‘Lanyard Sponsor’.

Founded in the US, Chubby Gorilla has built a strong international presence and now has headquarters in Europe and China which run alongside its main global base of operations in California.

The brand has been awarded over 100 patents and registered designs and works within a variety of industries across more than 100 countries around the world. It has become a market-leader in providing innovative and compliant e-liquid packaging solutions.

Speaking on the newly-announced sponsorship, Eyad Aboabdo, Co-founder and Vice President of Chubby Gorilla said: “We are very pleased to be part of this year’s Forum in the capacity of ‘Headline Sponsor’. Our brand ethos is ‘engineered for a purpose, designed for a purpose’ – a statement which rings as true for the vape industry as it does for us.

“E-cigarettes have been developed as a much-needed alternative to traditional combustible tobacco and are unrivalled in their effectiveness as a smoking cessation tool. That being said, there are several challenges the sector must take action on if vaping is to achieve its true public health potential in the UK.”

Eyad added: “This event, hosted by the UKVIA, creates an excellent platform for key discussion and debate and we are excited to be involved in the conversation.”

Arcus Compliance, a leading regulatory firm for the vape industry, has also been confirmed as ‘Lanyard Sponsor’ for the event and the growing list of media and event partners currently includes Vapouround Magazine, Vapor Voice, Vape Business, World Vape Show and ECigIntelligence.

The UKVIA Forum will take place on Friday, November 10 at the QEII Centre in London and will be followed in the evening by the trade body’s annual Industry Recognition Awards Dinner to create the largest and most influential B2B event in the UK vape industry calendar.

This year’s instalment is expected to hit the same high visitor count of last year’s event, which attracted 500 delegates and attendees, and will bring together C-suite executives from the international vaping sector, retail leaders, parliamentarians, environmental and public health professionals, regulators and more.

Speaking on the annual Industry Forum, UKVIA Director General John Dunne said: “The main theme of this year’s event is ‘Accelerating Action to Achieve a World Without Smoking’. It will focus on taking further our collective ambition to make the public health harms of combustible tobacco history.

“Visitors can expect to hear from a prestigious cast of experts as they dissect some of the industry’s most pressing challenges – including youth vaping, environmental impact and illicit products – and discuss the best path forward.

He added: “After this critical and comprehensive forum comes to a close, we will celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations both inside and outside of the sector as part of our annual Industry Recognition Awards Dinner.”
