Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled Kit

Lost Mary have seized the day with their ban beating Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled Kit

Share on:

Well the disposable ban is finally here, and if you have been to any reputable corner shop or petrol station, you will be able to see the tides of change in effect. All of those single use devices are gone, and it seems many shops haven’t quite caught up with the change of kit yet. But change it has, but if you are a fan of the old style disposables and are wondering where to go now, don’t worry as the big vape manufacturers have been busy at work making changes to their product lines to make sure we are not stuck without our precious vapes. TECC are always a step ahead when it comes to the latest and greatest, and if you take a look at their site, you will see new lines from some of your favourite vape makers, and that includes Lost Mary who have released a couple of great new alternatives, and today I am looking at the all new BM600 Prefilled Kit.

Lost Mary are one of the big hitters in the disposable scene, and with good reason. Their devices are reliable, cheap, and full of flavour, so it is no surprise that they have been one of the first out of the block when it comes to futureproofing their brand. But they also know the importance of familiarity, and from a casual glance, the BM600 Prefilled kit looks exactly how a Lost Mary device should look, but all is not as it first may seem.

When you first get your Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled kit, you might be forgiven for thinking you have been given an old device, the packaging looks like their standard fare and the picture of the kit on the front of the box looks the same as it always was, but there is one obvious give away and that is the addition of the word “prefilled” in the name. Once you get inside, things are a little different. You still get a single tear to open bag containing your kit, but now there is a body and a small pod which make up the complete system. There is a rubber bung in the mouthpiece, and a clear seal on the base, both of which need to be removed before use. Then you simply slide the pod into the void, and you are good to go. The fit of the two parts is really good, there is pretty much no wobble, so the tolerances are spot on. The pod is held in place with magnets which feel quite weak when they first bite, but in reality it holds very well. I tried the good old fling test, holding the mouthpiece and giving it a hefty flick, and I couldn’t get it to separate so you shouldn’t find your pods coming loose. But when you come to change the pod, you only need to give it the lightest pull to split the parts.

Fully assembled, and the Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled Kit looks and feels the same as the original BM600, it is still a tiny, palm able device that is easy and discreet, perfect for slipping into a pocket. It really is an impressive feat how they have managed to make it this tiny as it now includes onboard charging via the USB-C connection, but somehow they have squeezed in the port and the extra circuitry without bulking the whole thing up. I can’t get my head around how they have managed it; Lost Mary really have done a superb job here.

On the base, next to the USB-C port, you will find a pinhole LED which gives you your charging status. When you take a puff, this light gently pulses, but when the battery starts to get low, it will warn you by flashing three times. This is fine if you are somewhere with low lighting, but it can be a struggle to see what is going on in bright daylight. The light also comes on when you charge it, and you will know when it is fully charged as the light will go out. It is simple but effective, as long as you are in the right environment so be able to see it.

So far, everything feels very familiar, almost comfortingly so, but all this is irrelevant if the flavour and performance aren’t up to the job, but thankfully the consistency carries on here too. Each pod contains 2ml of MaryLiq e-liquid, the same flavours that Lost Mary are known for, and the pods perform exactly the same as the old all in one kits. The draw is a fairly loose MTL and will be instantly comfortable to anyone who has used any other Lost Mary device. The flavours are full and instant too. Once you have vaped all of the juice, you simply pull out the old pod and replace it with a fresh one. It takes a couple of seconds at most, and is easy and completely mess free.

The main kit comes with a single pod to get you up and running, but new pods come in packs of two and come in all of the great flavours we all know and love. I was sent a small selection to try out, which has just confirmed how well this little kit manages to keep true to its past.

Blueberry Sour Raspberry – The blueberry and raspberry come in equally strong, so you get a sharp, clean, and slightly tangy mix of fruits. It is sweet, as you would expect from a disposable flavour, but the zing cuts through well to really give life and body to the flavour. There is a slightly cooling hint, but it is only really a refresher.

Blue Razz Ice – This is quite a deep raspberry, heavy on the sweeteners but still floral and fragrant. The ice has been boosted a bit, you can feel the kick but it doesn’t take your breath away. It is very clean and smooth.

Strawberry Ice – This is a very sweet candy style strawberry flavour, with a healthy nod to jam. Once again, it is supercharged in the sweetener department so will be great for anyone with a serious sweet tooth. The ice is quite strong again here, and it needs to be to cut through the sweetness.

Pineapple Ice – If you like your vapes to have a serious throat feel, this is the flavour for you. It is one of the reasons I love pineapple e-liquid, as I love that kick, and this flavour really hits that spot. The flavour itself is rich and intense, with good levels of fresh juiciness.

Double Apple – This really is a mix of apple profiles, you get a sharp, crisp, clean mix with a more mellow, sweet dessert apple. It has been very well formulated, and a slight note of ice brings it all together. You don’t see apple so much in disposable style vapes, so this was a welcome change.

Triple Mango – I love mango, and this one does not disappoint, sweet and full of tropical goodness. It doesn’t quite have the range of some triple mango flavours, but it has the sweet notes that I personally love. Very ripe and perfect for a summer day chilling.

Final Thoughts

The Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled kit is a great update to a classic, well loved staple device. It does everything you would expect of a Lost Mary device whilst being a much more ethical, sustainable system. Waste has been minimised to the smallest amount possible, and swapping pods has been made as simple as it could be so even the biggest technophobes should have no trouble settling things up and using it on a day to day basis.

The only thing I am not so keen on is the branding on the device. You buy a colour coded kit which tells you what flavour you have bought, but if, like me, you like to mix things up, the body will always say the original flavour. It would have been better to just have the flavour printed on the pods. It is only a little detail, and most people probably won’t care, but I can be a little OCD when it comes to the little things.

If you want to try the Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled kit, head over to our friends at TECC. The base devise is just £5.99 9making it comparable to your average disposable), and prefilled pods are also £5.99 for a pack of two.

Many thanks to TECC for sending in the Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled kit for review.
