Innokin Pocketmod

Innokin's newest kit is the Pocketmod, which is a discreetly designed all in one device that caters to both mouth to lung and direct to lung vapers! Given Innokin's track record over the past few years with starter kits especially, the Pocketmod looks to be shaping up to offer a great option to new vapers!

A 2000 mAh rechargeable battery is built into the device, which should be enough to last most users a whole day. A 2ml TPD compliant capacity is present which is top filled. The squared shape of the Pocketmod has been designed to be both stylish and practical, and a unique cap design covers the drip tip when not in use to guard it against dust and dirt.

What's in the box?

Inside the Innokin Pocketmod Box you get the Pocketmod itself with a 0.35ohm coil head pre installed, a 1.2ohm coil head, lanyard, ultem wide bore drip tip, mouth to lung drip tip, micro USB cable, user manual, warranty card, warning booklet, battery warning card and stickers.

Innokin Pocketmod

To be honest, after seeing pictures of the Innokin Pocketmod online before I received it, I was expecting it to be a little smaller than it is! The Pocketmod is quite a chunky bit of kit, that feels a little weighty in hand. I was pretty impressed with the styling however, the Pocketmod looks pretty slick and the soft touch rubberised finish is accented with a stainless steel band around the top.

An ULTEM wide bore drip tip is pre-installed on the Pocketmod, which is intended for use with the 0.35ohm coil head. Also found in the box is a narrower bore black drip tip for use with the 1.2ohm mouth to lung coil head. 510 drip tip threading has been used, so you can easily swap in your own preferred drip tip. A removable top cap covers the top of the Pocketmod when not in use, to keep it dirt and dust free.

The Innokin Pocketmod is an all in one device, so the tank is built into the device itself. Either side of the mod is a glass viewing window, so you can see how much E-Liquid you have left, with a max fill line clearly marked. A USB charging port is found on one side, with the power button and LED battery indicator on the opposite side. When you press the fire button, the LED also illuminates the inside of the tank section, which looks pretty cool!

Using the Innokin Pocketmod

Firstly, you need to unscrew the internal top cap and fill E-Liquid to the max fill line- don't fill past this as when you re-insert the top cap and coil any excess juice will flood out of the top! After filling, leave E-Liquid to sit in the tank section for at least five minutes to allow it to soak into the coil head correctly, this will also prolong the lifespan of your coil.

Adjustable airflow is present on the top cap, which allows you to adjust the airflow to suit your desired draw. When it is fully open and the 0.35ohm coil head is used, along with the wide bore drip tip, this offers a fairly airy lung hit, if you would prefer a tighter draw then use the 1.2ohm coil head with the narrower bore drip tip and close the airflow down to three quarters open or less. The 0.35ohm coil head offers a warmer vape with more vapour production, whereas the 1.2ohm coil head offers a cooler vape with a more restricted draw, and I find the flavour to be more intense too.

Three clicks of the power button will turn the Pocketmod on, and you simply press the power button to vape. The Pocketmod will adjust the wattage output in accordance with the resistance of the coil head used, and it will output up to a maximum of 35W. The LED light indicator will show you how much battery life is left, flashing green when full, yellow when half full and red when low. It is advisable to charge the battery as soon as the LED shows a red light, the 2000 mAh inbuilt battery does last me a full day, and recharges quickly via USB.

Conclusion

For those looking for a stylish and stealthy little kit, the Innokin Pocketmod is a good little option to consider. It's a great looking set up, that feels very nice to use in hand, and it performs well whether used in mouth to lung or direct to lung mode. Coil lifespan is good too, with the coil heads lasting around two weeks on average. Innokin are well known for producing great kits, and the Pocketmod is another quality release from them!
