Fumot Tornado 4 in 1

Fumot enter the 4 in 1 market with the new Tornado range, and Stephen got the mammoth task of testing them all out!

Fumot sent the Tornado 4 in 1 to me for testing out. I was sent seven devices with twenty eight flavours in them in total, so get ready for a looooong review here.

From a cursory google I can see that Fumot are based in China and primarily deal in disposable vape options. They have a lot of non TPD compliant devices, and a few for the TPD market so they operate across the globe. They also have the other brands Vome and Supbliss under their umbrella. The Fumot Tornado 4 in 1 device is one of their TPD compliant devices that allows you to have four 2ml pods installed so that you can change flavours as you like. There are a lot of these types of disposables around right now and I’ve tried a few myself recently, so I feel equipped to report back on these ones.

The device itself has a 630mAh internal battery and a USB Type C connector to allow charging. You don’t get a cable in the box, but we’ll all have those floating around somewhere (unless you’re a hardcore Apple fan with an older phone of course). It also has an LED screen that lets you see the charge left in the battery, which is a nice touch.

As mentioned, you get four 2ml pods with the device that pop in once you remove the mouthpiece, like other 4-in-1s. The pods have FEELM Max ceramic coils in them that are advertised to give a more consistent vape and better flavour, along with a cooler vape. I had a google at the FEELM Max coil and went down a bit of a vape solution rabbit hole so will not mention much more here than to say that the coils seem to work well, and I do enjoy a cooler vape, so they suit me fine.

The top half of the device is made of corrugated plastic and allows you to see the pods, their flavour, and the level of juice left, which again, is a nice touch. The plastic chamber area also lights up when you turn the chamber to switch flavours.

As always, a disposable brand relies on its flavours. I can report that the Fumot flavours are good. They have not gone for full on ‘banging’ flavours though, they’re a little more subdued than a lot of disposable but that’s great for me as I tend to find the usual ones a bit overwhelming sometimes and only vape on them on occasion. This flavour change might put off your disposable juice user, but with these Fumot juices, I could vape away on them all day. They are more like juices from before the bar salt and disposable trend, and I think that’s a very good thing as they will be a little more accessible to those like me who just want a nice subtle flavour. Back to the usual though, and most of the flavours do have an element of sweetening and ice to them. They’re not flooded with them, although they are noticeable.

In general, I found most of the flavours to be pretty good. Some were lovely and others, well, not so. My missus likened a couple of the packs to be like a vaping Russian roulette, but that was honestly only on one or two. In the main, they have got it right and tastes are subjective to everyone, so the ones I don’t like might be the ones others really enjoy.

Red Box

Exotic Fruit Lemon

This is a nice, almost bitterish lemon with a tropical boost to it. The cooling is strong enough to enhance the flavour while the sweetener is not too heavy.

Orange Soda

This really does taste like an orange soda. It’s not overpowering, and the coolant lends a nice throat hit. You can taste the sweetener, but it’s nicely mixed in with the flavour to leave you with a nice vape. Lovely.

Strawberry Lemon

Again, there’s the almost bitter lemon that cuts through the sweet and light strawberry. It tastes almost like a strawberry lemonade without the ‘ade’ part. The juicy sweetness goes really well with the slight bitterness. Another lovely one.

Strawberry Skybull

This is the first miss for me. I’m assuming this is an energy drink type of juice, but I get a strange meaty taste that’s quite unpleasant. I think it’s the energy drink flavour that’s causing it, and while there’s a sweet strawberry trying to cut through, it doesn’t manage it and you’re left with a hammy tang. I can see what the flavour is trying to achieve, but it just doesn’t quite make it for me.

Black Box

Blueberry Raspberry Pomegranate

You get all three flavours straight away and none of them really stand out, which makes for quite a nice juice in my opinion. The blueberry is musty and earthy, as a lot are, but the other fruits power through with a sweetness and tartness after a few draws, and it makes for a quite addictive flavour overall. I also get a little bit of gummy bear in this one as well.

Sour Apple

Given the name, I was expecting a green apple here but it’s a mix of both green and red. There’s a prevalent skin flavour that makes it almost seem burnt. I’m not sure if I had a faulty pod but there is a slight singe in the taste of this one. If it’s meant then I think it’s because they’ve gone for a fleshy, mixed with skin apple and it’s not quite worked. There’s also no real sweetness in this one either.

White Peach Raspberry

At first this one tastes almost minty. I get the peach in it, but can’t discern any raspberry at all. It’s not a bad juice by any means, but it was certainly not what I was expecting.

Cherry Cola

Now this is a nice cherry cola, one of the better ones I’ve tried. The cola is dominant, and the cherry brings a nice sweetness that’s not overdone. Sweetener is done well, and the flavours mix nicely to make for a vape you could toot on all day long.

Green Box

Strawberry Watermelon

Oh, now this one’s lovely, all the water in the melon and very realistic. The strawberry sits back a little adding a juiciness and a sweetness. A truly superb juice.

Mango Ice

This is a super sweet ripe mango that really captures the flavour of mango juice. The ice compliments it perfectly, and there’s sweetener but it mixes in well with the deep mango flavour that’s on offer. It’s a touch sweet for me, but works great overall.

Tropical Fruit

It mixes in a few tropical fruits to leave you with a nice aftertaste. I think there might be a touch of melon in there as well. As you vape on it, you can discern the pineapple and mango, along with other tropical fruits.

Peach Ice

I was a bit torn on this one as it’s a nice realistic peach, you can even taste the peach stone a little bit. It’s a nice vape but I feel they may have gone a bit too realistic as there’s something slightly off in there for me. Still very vapable, but not one I’d pick over some of the others.

Purple Box

Apple Berry Explosion

This apple is so much nicer than the previous one. The berry sweetness lifts it up and gives it a totally different flavour. This is pretty much what I was hoping for with the Sour Apple, and it works very well.

Lychee Ice

This is a good representation of a lychee in my opinion. It’s perfumy and sweet, and while it’s not quite to my taste, the wife really enjoyed it and likened it to real Turkish delight for some reason.

Aloe Grape

This is a strange combo for me, but I ended up liking it quite a lot. It’s a greenish grape as opposed to the usual dark grape, and the aloe gives the whole thing a lovely overall smoothness. I could vape quite a bit of this.

Cola Lime

They have really nailed cola in this range. It’s not too sweet and you can taste it above the other things mixed in. The lime assists the cola perfectly even though it’s a quite subtle lime. The sweetener helps a little and again mixes in well.

Light Blue Box

Banana Ice

It’s a typical creamy foam banana flavour with a kick of ice to it. I hate it as I hate bananas, but the wife likes it a lot. It’s not as strong as some other banana vape juices I have tried but the flavour is definitely there, and it’s not as sweet as I thought it would be.

Pineapple Lemon

Another interesting combination but it works. The pineapple is nice and fleshy, with the lemon coming in on the back end. The ice is quite strong on this one and it complements the flavours well.

Polar Mint

Ohhhh this is like a fox’s glacier mint sweetie to me. It’s a peppermint with a cold hit to it. A proper mint for a change, and it’s really refreshing.

Blueberry Strawberry Blackberry

It’s quite strong on the blueberry at first, but as you vape on the blackberry comes in and a sweet strawberry rounds it all off for a great flavour combination. The strawberry sweetens up the blackberry, and the blueberry tones the sweetness down a bit to make for a very well made vape juice. One of the best in the range.

Orange Box

Blue Razz Lemon

A sweet blue raspberry with a kick of lemon to it. This one didn’t hit as well as others for me as I feel the two flavours don’t quite go together, but the blue razz is really nice. It’s the lemon that’s clashing for me as I think it’s just a bit too strong for the combination. One of those subjective flavours that some will love, and others won’t quite get.

Watermelon Ice

It’s not as nice as when mixed with the strawberry but it’s still a good watermelon flavour. It’s a bit more sweetie like here, and there’s a creaminess. The ice in it is quite subtle as well. It’s pretty sweet and tastes a wee bit more like a honeydew melon than a watermelon.

Mixed Berry

A lovely berry medley, I can taste blackcurrant, raspberry, and a few others in there, and whatever else is added it leaves a very nice aftertaste.

Blueberry Ice

I was surprised by this one as I was expecting the usual musty blueberry, but that’s not the case at all. It’s a very juicy and sweet flavour which is more like a juice than the actual fruit. Another great one.

Blue Box

Peach Mango

This ended up being a nice mix. The strong peach and the floral mango go well together and leave you with a tropical peach flavour, which I’ve never tasted before. A good one again.

Pineapple Strawberry Banana

The banana killed it for me, but my missus thought this was a real winner. You get the banana first and then the strawberry hits, and the pineapple adds to the sweetness and juiciness without fully pushing through. I hate it, the wife loves it!

Pomegranate Pear Lemon

This was the most interesting combo for me before trying it, and when I tasted it, the interest was still there. I can taste the pear and pomegranate, then the lemon crashes in strongly. Altogether it’s a little floral but in a good way, it’s a nice attempt at something different.

Strawberry Ice

A classic to finish off with. I’m not sure of this one as it’s a little unripe, and I’m not a fan of the green strawberry taste. I feel the strawberry flavour is just a little too weak to make it work as well as others I’ve tried, but you can still taste it.

Final Thoughts

With a whopping twenty Eight flavours over the seven different boxes, there was a lot to taste and there are always going to be some I don’t enjoy. I genuinely loved some of the efforts, while a few of them didn’t hit as well but that’s going to happen with any manufacturer so it’s not a slight on Fumot at all, they’ve done a good job of mixing some interesting combinations. It’s one of the things with 4-in-1 offerings, you may get one of the flavours that don’t vibe with you out of the pack and ends up getting left till the end.

The device itself is nicely made, with the fact that you can see the juice levels and the power left in the battery being plus points. I think the ceramic coils work well too, despite having tried previous ceramic stock coils and not enjoyed them too much.

I like the fact that the flavours don’t smash you over the head and most are quite realistic renditions of the fruits they’re trying to emulate, leading to some nice subtle mixes.

Many thanks to Fumot for sending the Tornado 4in1 kits in for review.

Pros
  • Some of the flavours are really well mixed and thought out
  • Power indicator is handy
Cons
  • Meaty energy drink flavour
  • As they’re 4-in1 there’s the risk you might not like one of the flavours in the pack you buy

I was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing?  Then I fell into vaping in 2017.  My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it.  An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information.  I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA.  Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
