I was sent five of these rather large capacity RandM Tornado 18K kits straight from Fumot.
I’ve reviewed some Fumot stuff before. I had a go on their one of their 4in1 devices a few months ago and remember being quite taken with some of the flavours on offer, so I was happy to go again with their newest one the R&M Tornado 18K.
Yep, 18000 puffs, from a disposable. So how do they keep it TPD compliant? Well, for a start there is a 2ml ‘reservoir’ on top where the mesh coil is housed and it’s refillable from the 10ml ‘cartridge’ as Fumot describe it but it’s just really a 10ml bottle that you screw into the device. It’s a novel take and one that works quite simply and well, I’ll go into how you use it in a moment.
In the box you get:
- 1 Fumot R&M Tornado 18K device
- 2 Fumot R&M 9000 Cartridges (10ml bottles of juice)
The juice is 20mg per ml and it’s a 50/50 VG/PG ratio.
The device itself is a standard 650mAh rechargeable internal battery disposable device, and the mesh coil inside does last for the full 18000 puffs (or 20ml of liquid), believe me, I’ve drained a couple of them so far. Fumot have thirty seven flavours available, and I’m glad that they only sent me five to test out as I’d still be at it in a few months’ time if they’d sent them all!
Looks wise, the kit is compact, with an airflow hole at the bottom so that you can hold the device properly without covering it and restricting the draw. It’s all nicely rounded for comfort as well. The whole thing is made of strong plastic and it feels solid. They’ve done a good job of using transparent, coloured plastic for the tank, mouthpiece and bottle shield, whilst having solid plastic around the battery. On one side is the R&M 18k Tornado branding and a small sticker with the flavour name on it. There’s also some raised Fumot branding on the transparent tank area as well.

The USB Type C slot is also on the bottom, which can be an annoyance as you have to charge the vape on its side and I do worry about flooding the coil when I get a device like this but, as yet, it hasn’t flooded so I don’t really know why I’m mentioning it. On top you have the integrated mouthpiece, which is comfortable, and a big metal pin with a little ring on it that serves for refilling from the 10ml bottle.
And that’s the clever thing about this kit. You have a plastic, sliding shield that you need to take off to fit the ‘cartridge’ (read 10 ml bottle) to the device by screwing it in. Once that’s installed and the cover slides back on, you pull the ring up then turn the whole device upside down to fill the ‘reservoir’, or tank in normal language. Pop the pin back down, leave it for five mins then vape away. It’s not a new thing, I’ve had disposables before where you turn them upside down to fill the tank, but it’s done in such a novel way that it’s different, and I like different. I really like the idea of just fitting a bottle to a device and vaping away, and Fumot has done it well.
So, on to the flavours and the vape, the important part.
The draw is a medium MTL but you can always cover the airflow hole to get it that touch tighter. As always with disposables, there is sweetener and cooling in all of these.

Mango On Ice
It’s cooooold. This is definitely mango on ice. For once there is not much of a floral or perfumy aspect to the mango flavour. There is a creamy aspect to it though and it’s subtle but adds a lot. I’m getting a very, very slight coconut to boost the lovely tropical mango taste. The sweetener really comes on as you vape on these flavours, but it doesn’t take over at all. I like this one. It’s a full mango flavour that really works for me personally.
Grape Ice
It’s a musty dark grape flavour, not my favourite profile but the sweetness lifts it a lot when it kicks in. It gets quite deep as you go on and you can taste grape juice, along with the fruit and skin. The ice doesn’t intrude too much either and stays at a nice low level throughout.
Cool Mint
A lovely spearmint flavour. It’s soft, but not tasteless if that makes any sense. The coolness isn’t overly done, and the sweetener makes for a nice mint sweetie flavour. I’m normally a bit overwhelmed with mint flavours as they tend to have menthol, peppermint and cooling agents in them, but this one does it simple and well.
Blueberry On Ice
Not as Icy as the mango for me, but it does make its presence felt, and the blueberry is very, very nicely done. Again, there’s no floral aspect like you sometimes get in blueberry juices. The mustiness that usually comes with a blueberry isn’t present either, just sweet, super fruity blueness. I think this might just be my favourite of all the ones I’ve tried.
Strawberry Watermelon
At first I get a blast of watermelon, as is the norm for most flavours with watermelon in them. It’s very sweet and as the sweetness hits, the strawberry kicks in to leave a nice mix of both flavours in the aftertaste. It’s a popular flavour profile and with good reason, they just both go so well together. The watermelon is watery and sweet, with no rind to sully it, and the strawberry is sweet and light to complement it.

Final Thoughts
I remembered liking the Fumot flavours and these reminded me why. They do use a lot of sweetener but the flavours underneath are well crafted and have depth to them. Someone knows what they’re doing. I don’t know how they got the blueberry to taste so nice, but they did and it’s a great one in my opinion, and the mango was a hit for me too, which is good as I’ve been trying to find a good mango flavour without the floral aspect, no matter how well it fits in. The others are all well done too.
There are a couple of tiny niggles I have (aren’t there always), but they are ridiculous ones. One is that the flavour name is on the side of the device but in sticker form and the stickers come off. It’s only been an issue for me as I have five flavours, and I struggle to identify them by taste alone sometimes as I jump between them all rather than just finishing one and moving on. The other niggle is that the colour of the device does not really track with what the flavour is. The mango one is blue and the blueberry one is green. See, told you they were ridiculous gripes, but I wanted to vent as it did annoy me a tiny bit, but then I am very petty.
The Fumot RandM 18K overall is different enough to stand out. The pull and upend to refill mechanism is well done, and I love that you’re just basically screwing a 10ml bottle into the vape. If someone could find a way to do this with replaceable coils they’d be onto a winner, but I also do understand that this is an unlikely thing to happen.
Thanks again to Fumot for sending the RandM Tornado 18K kits over for me to try. To buy them you can just search for Fumot R&M Tornado 18000, and you’ll find someone selling them. Fumot themselves don’t seem to have a UK based storefront so it’s easier to search.
- Innovative design
- Good flavours with depth
- 20ml of liquid in a TPD compliant device
- There are a couple of minor niggles but none are big enough to be real cons

Reviewer at POTVI was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
