What's in the Box?

The Wotofo Recurve RDA comes in a very smart green and black presentation box, also featuring the Wotofo and Mike Vapes logos. Inside the box is the Recurve RDA itself, a resin styled drip tip, 510 drip tip adaptor, user manual, Compwire coils, Japanese cotton and a bag of spare O-Rings and screws.

Design and Build Quality

One of the most noticeable visual aspects of the Recurve RDA is it's curved design, just as the name itself implies! The curved design isn't just there to give the Recurve RDA a unique appearance, it's also designed to optimise the airflow to produce a smooth draw full of flavour.

The Recurve RDA has a 24mm width, with a 35mm height, and the option of six different colour finishes to purchase. An 810 wide bore resin styled drip tip is also included, and a 510 drip tip adaptor is found in the spares if you wish to use a narrower bore drip tip. The top cap itself features a lock mechanism, which will centrally align the airflow when in place.

Out of the box the Wotofo Recurve RDA has a bottom feed pin inserted so that you can use it with a squonker, however you do also have the option of using a standard 510 pin if you aren't using a squonker.

Overall, I found the build quality of this RDA to be pretty much faultless, I couldn't say that I found a single issue with it. I actually pretty like the curved look of the Recurve RDA too, as it looks a little different from the rest of the crowd!

Building the Wotofo Recurve RDA

A postless single coil deck is used on the Wotofo Recurve RDA, with fairly large slots for your coil legs. The screws tighten the coil legs down nicely, giving a secure connection.

Wotofo do include a couple of Compwire Clapton coils in the pack, which have a resistance of 0.24ohm. I found that I needed to trim the legs slightly to get them to sit correctly, and if you are using your own builds you'll probably need a few attempts to cut your coil legs down to the correct length, which is an issue with near enough all postless decks out there.

An ample juice well is found here too, which holds plenty of E-Liquid. I also didn't run into any real issues with oversquonking when using the Recurve RDA, which was a bonus!

Six airflow holes are found on each side of the top cap, and the same six holes are drilled into the lip on each side of the deck. Airflow is funnelled through these holes to hit the bottom and sides of your coil.

I found that the Recurve RDA produced an airy lung hit when the airflow is fully open, and you can dial this down to a restricted lung hit. I found that having the airflow set half open was my preference.

I have got to say that I was hugely impressed with the flavour I got from the Recurve RDA, when using the supplied Compwire Clapton coils.

I get a very smooth and flavoursome vape from this RDA that is right up there with some of the top RDAs that I have tried recently. It's great at picking out individual flavour notes in E-Liquids, and has very little noise too.

The Recurve RDA also produces some pretty impressive clouds too, with thick and dense vapour produced by this RDA!

For the price, this is one of the top performing RDAs out there right now, and one I would definitely look at purchasing! It's very well designed, producing great flavour and dense vapour, and it's ideal for squonking use too with a large juice well and very few issues with leaking. I'd definitely recommend the Recurve RDA to anyone looking for a new RDA!

Many thanks to Wotofo for sending the Recurve RDA in for review!  Thanks to Wotofo we have two of these RDAs to give away - you can enter on our competition page here.
