iJoy Limitless RDTA
A collaboration between China based iJoy and popular American manufacturer Limitless, the iJoy Limitless RDTA is a two post RDTA that promises to offer a dripper level experience with the benefit of having a tank capacity included. It features a large and easy two post build deck for dual coils, a 4ml tank capacity, innovative cotton reservoirs and a user friendly side filling system positioned just above the juice reservoir.
iJoy and Limitless are well known for their previous releases that are extremely popular with cloud chasers, so a collaboration between these two should well produce something truly special. Let’s see how the iJoy Limitless RDTA performs...
- 24.2mm Diameter
- 4ml juice capacity
- Innovative side fill port
- PEEK Insulator
- Delrin top cap with adjustable airflow
- Easy build two post deck, innovative cotton reservoirs
- 510 threading connection
- Gold plated fixed positive pin
- Removable top cap for easy building and cotton access
What’s in the Box?
You get a co-branded iJoy/Limitless clamshell package, inside there you will find:
- iJoy Limitless RDTA
- Drip tip adaptor
- Pack of red o-rings
- Spares kit and pre made twisted coils
This is a pretty tall atomiser and at just over 24mm in width it’s pretty wide as well. You’ll need a pretty thick mod otherwise this will overhang! It does feature a gold plated fixed positive pin for minimal voltage drop, which protrudes from the 510 connector, meaning that it is also hybrid safe as well. The iJoy Limitless RDTA features a stainless steel construction, with the tank part featuring glass.
The top cap is manufactured from Delrin and also forms the airflow control too, and this also has one of the widest wide bore drip tips around. The whole top part of the iJoy Limitless RDTA can be removed, giving you easy access to the build deck, and it also makes it easier to clean. There is an innovative side fill port just above the tank reservoir, that allows for quick and easy filling whilst on the move.
Building the iJoy Limitless RDTA
Featuring a variation of the ever popular Velocity styled deck, the iJoy Limitless RDTA is extremely easy to build on. The entire top cap can be removed from the iJoy Limitless RDTA allowing you easy access to the build deck, and it also makes it very easy to position your wicks as well. You have two large posts and huge post holes to fit in thick coil builds, and the post screws clamp down nicely to secure your coil legs.
Included within the box are pre made twisted coils, and I fitted these easily into the post holes. There are four large cut aways in each corner of the deck, which allow you to trail your wicks down into the tank section easily. I’ve found the best way to wick the iJoy Limitless RDTA is to use plenty of wick, and trail the wick tails down to the base of the deck to absorb every last drop of juice. I’ve found this method to be leakproof, full of flavour and vapour, and free of dry hits as well.
Overall, the amount of space you have to build here is massive, the deck is very easy to build on and it’s a really forgiving deck to build on too. With the amount of space you have at your disposal you really can get creative with your builds and fit in some huge coils for high powered cloud chasing!
As with pretty much any release from iJoy or Limitless, airflow is absolutely massive, and the iJoy Limitless RDTA has one of the airiest draws I have ever experienced, especially with the massive wide bore chuff cap that is included. There are two massive cyclops airflow slots positioned on either side of the top cap, and these are adjusted via rotating the top cap to close down or open up the airflow. When the airflow is wide open the clouds produced are incredible, putting many RDAs to shame, I found myself closing the airflow down to about half open which still gave me massive vapour production, but a warmer vape and even better flavour. Cloud chasers will be delighted with this one!
As mentioned above, the iJoy Limitless RDTA is going to hold massive appeal to cloud chasers, due to its hugely generous amount of airflow. It absolutely has to be one of the airiest atomisers I’ve ever used, and as a result it is one of the very best when it comes to cloud chasing. Vapour production really is something to behold and I had expected no less from these two manufacturers!
It’s not all about big clouds though, as the flavour from the iJoy Limitless RDTA is excellent. It’s a very warm vape, given that it is intended for use with high power builds, but that warm vape does provide great flavour that stands up to many RDA’s. You get the best of both worlds with the iJoy Limitless RDTA, great flavour and market leading cloud production too!
Wicking with the iJoy Limitless RDTA is pretty much faultless. I use nice thick wicks that cover the cut aways in the corner of the deck, and these trail down to the base of the tank. This absorbs every last drop of juice, and keeps up even when using high VG juice at very high wattage. As the wick is constantly in direct contact with the juice, I have used up to 100% VG with no wicking issues whatsoever.
The 4ml capacity is very handy, as it saves you needing to re drip often, however especially when using low ohm high power builds it doesn’t last long at all, meaning you will need to refill often. I’ve managed to drain the whole capacity of the tank within around 25 puffs at 85w, but with the side filling system it is quick and easy to refill.
The iJoy Limitless RDTA provides a true rebuildable dripping atomiser experience, with it’s excellent flavour and huge vapour production, and adds in the convenience of a 4ml capacity tank found underneath the build deck. Granted, the iJoy Limitless RDTA is aimed at low ohm and high power usage, and coupled with the huge amounts of wick you need this does drain down very quickly meaning it isn’t terribly great for out and about usage, but it’s handy to not have to drip juice down onto your build constantly.
One of the main concerns I have about these types of rebuildable dripping tank atomisers is leakage, and I’m happy to report that the iJoy Limitless RDTA has been virtually leak free. I’ve left it on it’s side, carried it around in my pocket and it hasn’t leaked a drop out! Coupled with the excellent flavour and big clouds produced by this tank you really do have a true dripping experience, with the capacity of a tank underneath.
