SMOK TF-RTA G2 and G4

The TF-RTA is SMOK's first foray into rebuildable tank atomisers, and as you would expect it’s aimed at the high wattage, cloud chasing vaper. We received both the SMOK TF-RTA G2 and G4 for review, it’s essentially the same tank but with two different build deck options, the G2 offering a two post velocity style deck for dual coil builds, the G4 offering a unique quad coil set up for serious cloud chasing, so let's have a look at what these two have to offer!

Yet again SMOK have provided a market leading option for cloud chasers. Both the G2 and G4 tank offer serious performance in the cloud department, with the G4 offering vapour production on a level I’ve never experienced before with an RTA. Another big plus point with both of these options is the huge amount of build space available with the 16mm deck space, the G2 is slightly easier to build on with the Velocity styled deck, however once you get the hang of the G4 deck it will become second nature to build on.

Despite this being marketed as a cloud chasing RTA, and both decks do a fine job of providing huge clouds, the flavour from both the G2 and G4 is actually quite impressive too. The G2 I found to give much richer and deeper flavour, especially in the 50-70W range, the G4 I believe really is for straight up high power cloud chasing.

Overall, I would say unless you vape at serious high power, the G2 would be the better option for you. I found it to give a better balance of flavour and vapour, with the added bonus of a slightly cooler vape and it uses much less juice than the G4. The G4 is for the serious cloud chaser and if you enjoy vaping north of 90W, this definitely will be the option for you, as there aren’t many tanks able to sustain the power this can handle!

Thanks to SMOK for sending these in to POTV for review.  We have two competitions to give two brand-new unused units away.  The G2 is up for grabs in this competition, just answer the question to be in with a chance.  The G4 is being given away on the forum, you must have over 20 posts to be able to enter.  Good luck!
