VOOPOO has gone a little left field with their latest entry for the PnP X pod kit series with the Vinci E120 kit. The unique selling point this time is the prominent colour screen which doubles as a clock along with a rather large 4500mAh internal battery all packaged in a sleek aluminium chassis.
Specifications
- 117 x 47.8 x 24.3 mm
- 160 grams
- 2.4 inch colour TFT screen
- Internal 4500mAh battery
- Output 5~120 watts
- 5ml/2ml Pod
- PnP X coils

The VOOPOO Vinci E120 is available in seven bold colours, and I was sent the “Grey Metal” variant for review. Inside the box you’ll find the Vinci E120 itself with a PnP X pod with a 0.3ohm coil preinstalled, a 0.15ohm coil, a USB-C charge cable, plus a brief user guide.

First impressions out of the box are that it’s quite large for a pod kit, almost resembling a slimmed down dual 18650 mod externally. In fact, it’s not much smaller than a few of the more compact dual 18650 setups I have lying around, and I suspect this is in no small part due to a combination of the large 4500mAh battery and the bold 2.4 inch colour screen on the front panel.
Build quality seems to be on par with the recent Spark 100 kit that VOOPOO sent over with a premium aluminium alloy chassis, they’ve outdone themselves again here. The anodised finish has a slight matte texture which feels nice in the hand and affords a decent amount of grip with a bold VOOPOO logo running down the back of the otherwise plain back and that large colour screen dominates the front panel with a power button located just above this.

On the left side we have a fairly sizeable airflow control as this is primarily aimed at the direct lung vaper. I’ve been running this at around two thirds open, and there’s a decent amount of tension in the slider, so I haven’t found this getting accidentally moved around in daily use.
The right side is a little busier with a USB-C charge port, a lock switch, up/down controls, and a smaller secondary airflow intake. All the switchgear appears to be aluminium like the main chassis so VOOPOO have gone the extra mile here as they could easily have switched these out for plastics which just adds to the premium feel of the Vinci E120.
In my charge test, this hit a peak charge rate of 2 amps which is good, but thanks to the super-sized battery, it still took 1 hour and 58 minutes for a full charge. I recorded the final usable capacity as 3652mAh which is quite a bit short of the claimed 4500 mAh but is still more than enough to get you through a full day.

Up top we have a large recess for the PnP X pod which is held firmly in place with magnets.

This has a familiar form factor to other pod kits with a large duckbill style mouthpiece similar to the one I saw with the Argus e40 kit I took a look at last year but with PnP X coils press fit from the bottom and a reasonably sized fill port on the side which can be accessed without needing to remove the pod. The PnP X coils performed exactly as I expected them to with a rich flavourful vape and decent coil life… I wasn’t quite as enamoured with the fill port though.
Recently VOOPOO have started sending out TPD compliant kits for me to test and this meant that this time I got the dreaded 2ml pod. This threw up an issue for me as I found it incredibly difficult to consistently fill the pod as it would all too easily back up which resulted in almost as much e-liquid on the outside of the pod as inside on occasion. Closer inspection showed that part of the TPD compliant bung sits in the area around the fill port and in the end I resorted to partially de-TPDing the pod (not an easy task!) to remove some material from this area which resolved the problem.

One aspect that VOOPOO is obviously pushing here is the large screen which doubles as a clock. Initially only two themes are available, and my favourite is the bold modern blue one shown in the middle, multiple other themes are available but are locked until you reach a certain puff count which gamifies the experience a little.

The themes are accessed through an easy to use menu system which also allows you to set the correct time and the length of time the clock is displayed after each puff (up to 30 minutes). Obviously keeping the screen on for thirty minutes looks cool, but it does eat into the battery life meaning you get fewer puffs between charges, so I changed this back down to one minute after a couple of days. I can’t help feeling that VOOPOO missed a trick here by omitting a speaker or simple piezo buzzer and adding things like basic alarm functionality but I’m nitpicking here.
Conclusion
The VOOPOO Vinci E120 is a great option if you want a direct lung pod kit with all day battery capacity. Once again they’ve gone above and beyond on the build quality and materials used here which gives this a more premium feel, especially with that large screen and clock functionality. It’s not too expensive either, and I’m already seeing this offered at around the £35 mark here in the U.K. which means it’s not going to break the bank.
Many thanks to VOOPOO for sending the Vinci E120 over for review.

- Great build quality
- Large battery capacity
- Reliable PnP X platform coils
- TPD compliant pod can be a little difficult to fill

Reviewer at POTVI was a twenty a day smoker for 25 years and like most smokers I was always going to quit "next week". Having hit my mid forties and having the usual smokers cough and difficulty with anything more than moderate exercise it was obviously time to give up the cancer sticks. I bought my first e-cigarette in 2013 when they were expensive, difficult to find and quite frankly... crap. I used it for about a week then went back to the roll ups, mark up another failed quit attempt. The fact that I had just changed jobs and was under quite a lot of stress probably didn't help. Move on to 2016 and whilst I was browsing eBay I noticed that one of the suggested items that would occasionally pop up was for a cheap e-cigarette. It looked similar to the one I'd bought 3 years earlier but it was only £5 (about 8 times cheaper than before) so I decided to give it another go on a whim. Once the kit arrived I managed to gradually replace the cigarettes with my new kit over a two month period and got into watching YouTube reviews for newer kit. My cheap and cheerful kit was replaced by a more upmarket affair, and being a noob I made a mistake once it arrived... I put in the supplied direct lung coil, this was of course a complete revelation and I haven't touched a cigarette since. Oh and I no longer spend the first five minutes of every day having a coughing fit either.
