Lost Vape always guarantees quality, and this remains strong with the latest Lost Vape Thelema Nano Pod kit

Lost Vape sent me a couple of these new Thelema Nano Pod kits to try out and report back on.

Lost Vape have a few ranges of devices, there’s the Centaurus range, the Ursa range, and the Thelema range, along with others that house powerful and customisable DNA chips. All come in different shapes and sizes, from box mods to pod mods to pod kits, and this is one of their latest pod kits.

The Thelema Nano pod kit is a smallish kit with an internal 1500mAh battery and their latest E-core Tech 3.0 vapour system, but there’s nothing nano about the performance here. It uses E-Plus dual mesh pods which, combined with the E-core Tech 3.0 system, the marketing info claims gives ‘200% flavour performance’, ‘100% flavour authenticity’ and ‘60% vapour production’. The kit goes up to 45W and can auto draw or be activated by the fire button. There’s a USB Type-C charging port and an 0.96” TFT screen.

In the box you get:

  • 1 Thelema Nano mod
  • 1 E-Plus 0.3Ω cartridge
  • 1 E-Plus 0.6Ω cartridge
  • 1 Lanyard
  • 1 USB-C cable
  • 1 User manual

It looks like your usual, well made and classy looking pod kit, pretty much what you’d expect from Lost Vape. There’s an airflow control on one side, which lets you have it fully open for the lower ohm pod or nice and tight for the higher one. The whole thing is reassuringly hefty in the hand but is still compact and comfortable as well. On the front is the fire button at the top, it’s square and doesn’t stick out too much so pocket firing will hopefully be diminished. Under that is the colour 0.96” TFT screen that shows a variety of information clearly, including both a percentage battery indicator and a bar indicator, something that I always appreciate. Underneath the screen is the two small adjustment buttons, they’re spaced nicely so even people with sausage fingers like me can use them without hitting both. Finally, underneath those is the USB port, covered with a rubber bung that comes out easily and is tethered by a little rubber line so the bung isn’t pressing on the charging cable, another nice little touch.

On the back of the kit is a smart modern design. The green one I have has a white leather type covering, only breaking to show the Thelema Nano branding, and the silver one has a lovely pastel colour splash type design. Other colours are available, and they will surely have their own unique backs as well.

Function wise, you click five times to turn on and off and two clicks will switch between the eco and boost modes. Eco uses one of the mesh coils in the pod, and boost uses both. The smart function kicks in here to suggest the best wattage for each mode, but you can still adjust as you like. Three clicks takes you into a menu where you can adjust the modes again, reset the puff counter, lock the buttons, or look at the software info.

In use I started off taking the pre-installed 0.6ohm pod out as I wanted to see what the higher wattage vape would be like as that’s more my usual thing. I put the 0.3ohm pod in and it automatically adjusted the wattage to 38 watts on the boost mode. At the suggested wattage I got a lovely blast of vapour. The double mesh coil really does give a good amount of vapour, and once the coils broke in a little bit, the flavour came through beautifully. Using the pod at a higher wattage does make things a little warm so if you prefer a warmer vape, then this is spot on for that. I prefer it a little cooler, so I just turned it down a touch and still got the flavour and vapour production I like. Switching to the eco mode brought the auto wattage down to 25W, and that’s the highest you can go as the ohms switch to 0.6, like switching between a single coil RTA and a dual one I suppose. I normally don’t like being told what to do by a vape, but this will definitely prolong the coil life and stop me from being an idiot and putting the wattage up too high, so it’s a good touch again from Lost Vape. There was a slight drop off in taste and reduced vapour production (obviously), but it was still a lovely draw and really good flavour. It’s nice to encounter an eco-mode that doesn’t make the draw insipid and weak as it stayed strong throughout.

Onto the 0.6ohm pod, and as I was already impressed by the vape from the lower ohm one, I was excited to try it out for RDL and MTL. On the dual coil boost setting, it allows you to go up to 25W, same as the eco mode on the 0.3ohm one. I set the airflow to about half closed for a nice restricted lung hit, and the flavour again was lovely, enhanced by the change to 50/50 ratio juice. Going down to 21W let me take the kind of draw I prefer from a more sedate coil, and I puffed away happily for a while till I turned on the eco mode on this one and saw that the wattage had gone down to 13W and the ohms up to 1.2.  Closing off the airflow entirely gives you a reasonably tight draw, not super tight but tight enough to get a good pull on it. I prefer it a touch looser, so I opened it a touch and got a lovely loose MTL draw with really good flavour yet again. You do have to adjust the airflow very slightly to dial down a tighter draw MTL wise, but it is possible, and it is there, making the whole kit very versatile.

Conclusion

Lost Vape have done a fantastic job with the Thelema Nano Pod. It caters to pretty much everyone, other than those who want a super tight MTL. Being able to switch between single and dual mesh coils gives you the option to change it up on the fly, without having to switch pods, and using the 0.6ohm pod will allow you to go from a lovely RDL to a MTL draw with no problems at all. I love that I can just go out with a single pod in it and switch away however many times I like of a night, whether I want a big draw filled with vapour or a smaller one that keeps almost the same flavour quality.

I can see that the kit is also compatible with the older e-plus pods as well as these new dual ones, so if you have any of their other e-plus pod kits, then you can use the pods from them in it and increase the versatility.

I’ve tried a lot of the new wave of pod kits over the past few months and I can honestly say this is definitely up there with the best of them. The styling is lovely, the function is easy, the vapour production is cloudy, and the flavour is superb to boot. The sheer versatility makes this well worth checking out.

Thanks again to Lost Vape for sending these Thelema Nano Pod kits over, and please excuse the one handcheck photo, I just wanted to show the size.

Pros
  • Switching between single and dual coils makes for two kinds of vapes in one pod
  • Great flavour and vapour production with the dual coils
  • Similar flavour intensity on one coil
  • Reasonably high power in a smallish device
Cons
  • Might not be for those who like super tight MTL

I was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing?  Then I fell into vaping in 2017.  My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it.  An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information.  I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA.  Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
