I was sent some of these nifty S04 pod kits directly from Fumot so I could have a bash at them and report back.
I’ve had one of Fumot’s disposable devices before and I quite liked the flavours. They deal mainly in disposable vapes and there are a lot of them out there, some aimed at the UK/TPD market and others for international use. They’re now branching into replaceable and refillable pod territory, and the `fumot S04 is the newest in their range.

The Fumot S04 has a built in 650mAh battery and takes pods with a capacity of 2.8ml, I assume TPD ones will be 2ml. The pods have a mesh coil in them and have a resistance of 0.8ohms. Charging is done via a USB Type C connection that’s on the bottom of the battery section. The kit has a small screen and a fire button but is also draw activated. There are some ambient lights on the front as well that pulse when you take a draw.

Design wise, they really have gone for the EU and UK market. The whole thing is made of nice sturdy metal, giving the them a reassuring heft, and there’s a leather type insert round the back for comfort and aesthetics. It has ‘Born Wonderful’ etched into the leather for some reason. I think it looks quite good if I’m honest and I can’t quite place the font, but I do recognise it from somewhere. The screen and fire button are on the front. To be honest again, I think the screen is a little too small. I can see things fine personally but anyone with sight issues will struggle to see all the information, and the rounded plastic section all down the front, while stylish looking, is quite shiny and reflects light off it, making the screen very hard to see outside. Underneath the screen are the ambient lights that I mentioned before. It’s two lines of rainbow LEDs that light up when you take a puff, quite relaxing and is surely aimed at the younger crowd.

Function wise, it’s a simple device. Five clicks to turn on or off, four to lock the whole device, three to go into wattage adjustment, two to change the ambient lights from pulsing, to solid, to off, and one click to actually fire the thing. The wattage adjustment goes from 10 to 25W, but there’s also a smart mode that restricts the 0.8ohm pods from going over 16W. I suspect there are plans to release lower ohm pods to realise the full power of the kit.
In use it’s a good little kit. The pods hold a nice amount of liquid (well the 2.8ml ones do) and the coils don’t take too much breaking in. They give you good flavour from the off. The draw is set to a medium MTL, but you could also take a restricted RDL as well (is that a RRDL?). Flavour is pretty good from the mesh coils, and the vapour production is quite satisfying too. There’s also a little airflow hole above the fire button that you can also cover to get a bit of a tighter draw if you want that.

Conclusion
There’s not much more to say really, the Fumot S04 is a damn decent small pod kit that’s perfect for those trying to get off the disposables and into buying their own e-liquid. It looks nice, feels nice, and vapes nicely.
The only con I have is the small screen on it. Other than that, It’s worth looking at.
Many thanks to Fumot for sending the S04 kits in for review.

- Solid feel to it
- Pods give good flavour and vapour
- I like the ambient lights
- A small screen that may not be good for those with sight issues

Stephen Gitsham
Reviewer at POTVI was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
