ELeaf sent the iVeni pod kit over for me to have a play around with and I’ve been using it for the past week or so.
ELeaf are another manufacturer that I have a wee bit of a soft spot for as my first vape was an ELeaf iPower with its huge battery and variety of functions. It kind of shaped the way I vape really, as I started with both a MTL and DTL tank and enjoyed both in different ways, so they left me appreciating most styles while mainly enjoying RDL, even though that wasn’t really a term at that point.

The iVeni has a 1100mAh internal battery and goes up to 40W. It has a colour HD screen. The kit is both auto draw and button activated, and the button also lets you adjust the wattage, as well as lock the button. There’s airflow adjustment and it charges via a USB Type C slot at 2amps/5V. The kit takes refillable and replaceable pods.
In the box you get:
- 1 iVeni battery
- 1 iVeni 0.4ohm Pod
- 1 iVeni 0.8ohm Pod
- 1 USB Type C Cable
- 1 User Manual
- 1 Warranty Card

Style wise I quite like this kit. It’s your usual flattened pen style but there’s a big porthole style screen on it that bulges out and makes it look a little bit more unique than some other pod kits. The edges are all nicely rounded so it’s comfortable to hold, but the bottom is also rounded so it kind of wobbles when you set it standing up. I find it quite hypnotic if I’m honest and I like it, but it may annoy some. On the back there’s a leather type strip that runs down the middle, giving a decent grip and it’s embossed with the iVeni branding but it’s not intrusive branding at all. On one side is the fire button, and on the other is the airflow control. The sides are also grooved so the airflow and button sit in a little, making it better for taking out in a pocket or a bag without them being adjusted while moving. The USB C slot is on the bottom so it can’t be charged standing up.

Function wise there’s not much there. Five clicks turn it on, three clicks let you adjust the wattage, and four allows you to lock the button for extra security when transporting. That’s it. It smart sets the wattage every time you take the pod out and put it in again, which is a little annoying and it also does that thing where the kit will only allow you to set the wattage between the range of the coil. I go from liking that to hating it as I don’t like being told what to do, but at other times I like the simplicity and time saving it grants you. The screen is also simple, only giving you the battery info and the wattage, despite being a nice colour screen.
In use I started off with the 0.8ohm pod. It goes between 13 and 20W and I enjoyed it most at about 17W. The airflow fully open gives you a reasonably tight RDL draw and a nice loose MTL. Fully closed it’s a decently tight MTL so the tight draw lovers will enjoy this, especially as there’s also a 1.2ohm pod available, which I assume will let you use lower wattage still.
The 0.4ohm pod lets you go from 28-40W, with a recommended setting of 32W. I preferred it a bit higher at 35W, but it still wasn’t too warm for me, and the draw was that little bit looser still so was perfect for a nice RDL draw. Both pods gave me really good flavour and a good amount of vapour.

Final Thoughts
The iVeni is a nice starter device that will allow new users to find what style of vaping they like. For those like me who like MTL and RDL it’s a good kit that’s nice and simple but also looks pretty nice, due to the round screen.
It’s a comfortable kit to hold and I don’t know why, but I love the little pendulum effect you get when you stand it upright. I also really like the leather strip on the back for grip.
I get a lot of pod kits to try out these days and it does take something to make one stand out. The iVeni does stand out for me due to its styling and design, along with the simplicity of it but I just can’t get past the whole wattage restricting and auto setting of wattage when you take the pod out and put it back in.
Thanks again to ELeaf for sending the iVeni kit over to try out.

Reviewer at POTVI was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
